OBI-WAN KENOBI TV Spots Bring The Sith Inquisitors To Tatooine And Put Some Familiar Faces In Peril

With only a few days to go before Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on Disney+, two new TV spots for the highly anticipated limited series have found their way online. There are a few snippets of new footage here, including a pensive "Ben" Kenobi and more of those sinister Sith Inquisitors on the hunt.

The Inquisitors' arrival seemingly results in Luke Skywalker's uncle, Owen Lars, finding himself in their crosshairs as he clearly does whatever is necessary to protect Anakin Skywalker's son from these villains.

As for "Ben," it doesn't sound like he has any hope left and clearly believes the Jedi should remain in hiding. That's a noteworthy change of attitude, and one that shows just how much of an impact the past 10 years have had on him. We're guessing this show will put him back on the right path.

We're not anticipating another trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi before Friday, but it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility that a new minute-long preview is going to drop at some point. Darth Vader has yet to be revealed in all his glory, of course, and while that would make for one heck of a money shot in a trailer, Lucasfilm holding back the big reveal has only helped build anticipation.

Check out these new Obi-Wan Kenobi TV spots below:

Obi-Wan Kenobi's story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where the hero faced his greatest defeat - the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader (we're hoping to also see him as Anakin Skywalker).

Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Deborah Chow directed all six episodes of the show which premieres on May 27 with its first two episodes and wraps up on June 22.

I doubt he's gonna use his lightsaber tho :/

But still I'm hyped even more than for Stranger Things.

I said it before and I’m sticking to my guns.
The female inquisitor will be more of a focus and will have the arc.
She will have a chance to kill or turn in Kenobi and Luke but will have a change of heart and protect them.
Then she will be killed by Vader or the Inquisitor and die the tragic hero.

I stand by my prediction.

And that font? Very good for my aging eyes.

@SpaceParanoids - Nah.

Kenobi will still be the focus of the show. That being said, nothing wrong with Reva having an arc.

An Inquisitor having a change of heart and being slayed by Vader for it is nothing new and exactly how Jedi: Fallen Order ended.

@kylo0607 - It’s predictable that is all.
How much of an arc can Kenobi have. He is where he is going to be 10 years later.

Been catching up on lots of non-English 50s and 60s films lately to have time for a good Star Wars marathon - and perhaps I'm putting it off because I know how hard it will be to sit through the specific films that include McGregor's Kenobi - but I'm REALLY HYPED for this. Don't think I've been this excited for a Star Wars project since opening night of The Last Jedi. A shame Deborah Chow isn't helming the next big theatrical SW saga - not yet, at least.
