AHSOKA, THE MANDALORIAN Season 3, And STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Announced At Star Wars Celebration

Lucasfilm confirmed that Ahsoka & The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ next year, while Jon Watts' Skeleton Crew was also announced...along with the reveal that it will star Captain Marvel's Jude Law!

During today's Star Wars Celebration panel looking ahead to Lucasfilm's big and small screen plans, it was confirmed that both Ahsoka and The Mandalorian will arrive on Disney+ in 2023.

We had hoped that the latter might be here in time for the holidays, but with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor both on the way, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that the wait for more Din Djarin and Grogu will be a little longer this time. A sizzle reel was shown to those in attendance at the event in Anaheim, California, but there are sadly no plans for it to be released online.

However, we can tell you that it showed Din telling his loveable sidekick, "We’re going to Mandalore so that I can be forgiven for my transgressions." It was also announced that Katee Sackhoff will return as Bo-Katan Kryze, and the actor was on hand to make it clear that her character has unfinished business with Mando.

February 2023 will no doubt be here before we know it, though there was no mention of a premiere month for Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson addressed fans in a brief pre-recorded video message).

Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts hit the stage to confirm he's developing Star Wars: Skeleton Crew for Disney+. The big news is that Captain Marvel and Fantastic Beasts actor Jude Law will star in the show that's being developed by Watts and Christopher Ford alongside Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

Skeleton Crew is set around the same time as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka following the events of Return of the Jedi, and it was suggested that all of these shows will cross over in unexpected ways. As for the premise, it will follow four kids who end up getting lost in this Galaxy Far, Far Away, and while they're all set to be around 10-years-old, this won't be a kids' show.
