Supernatural has really been on a roll as it heads into its final three episodes, and following yet another jaw-dropping twist of fate from God (Rob Benedict), this week's installment will see Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins) do their best to take down Death (Lisa Berry) while simultaneously working to save Jack (Alexander Calvert) from an untimely demise.

While the synopsis is understandably vague, episode eighteen has been described as one of the most heartbreaking of the entire series, meaning we may very well be bidding farewell to a key character, and the latest promo doesn't exactly paint a good picture for either Castiel or Jack...

The episode titles and sypnoses for the final two chapters have also been revealed, with episode 19 titled "Inherit the Earth," while the series finale is appropriately called, "Carry On." There will also be a one-hour special, titled "The Long Road Home," featuring brand new interviews, that will air ahead of the finale on November 19.

"Despair" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

RICHARD SPEIGHT, JR. DIRECTS - With the plan in full motion, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins) and Jack (Alexander Calvert) fight for the good of the common goal. Richard Speight, Jr. directed the episode written by Robert Berens (#1518). Original airdate 11/5/2020.

Going to really miss having new episodes to look forward to when this season finally wraps. Looking back through the years they have been really fortunate to have such an abundance of very talented actors to portray various characters over the course of its long run. Well at least will still have the TNT reruns to watch over and over again from start to finish.

Season has been pure garbage until the most recent episode which was a big improvement, almost solely because of Jensen Ackles performance. He’s on another level to everyone on that show and as much as I love it and feel its a part of me because of my love for the early seasons, Ackles has outgrown it. Fantastic and highly underrated actor.

Billie as death is so crap, can’t wait for her to die. Actress is terribly bland, which I’m sure is partly down to her lines. But they took away everything that made death nuanced and original and went for a cheap and silly cliche (leather jacket and big scythe. Death library that looks like an apple store.) how much cooler was the little one hand farm scythe thing the original death had? Understated and badass. Suits and cadillacs. Portentous of everything that went wrong with the show, it gave in to cheese and became closer to charmed than anything.

I really hope they stick the landing though. I have a strange feeling they’re gonna do great with the final episode. I think theyll go for a similar tone to that epiosde shot wholly from the car. Back to roots, maybe even a simple hunt. Inherit the earth title tells me theyll overthrow god in the second last ep, in whatever way, and the last ep will be back to basics. ‘Keep on fighting the good fight’ kinda ending.

My biggest hopes are some great classic rock songs in the last ep, the return of Crowley, original Death and real Bobby, Jo, and Please Please Please, some Jeffrey Dean Morgan. That last one is almost definately a no go but I can dream.

The thing about Supernatural is that they have always had a lot of crap amongst the pure gold. I really disliked Season 6, but then it gave us gems such as "The French Mistake". Yeah I tend to agree with a lot of what you say about the new Death and that Library. I liked Billie better when she was a Reaper, but I don't blame the actress, that is purely the writers fault. Supernatural, some bad, some middling, but also a lot of good throughout its run. Still going to miss the Boys.
