SUPERNATURAL: The Boys Get Some Backup In New Promo & Photos For Season 15, Episode 19: "Inherit the Earth"

Following an Avengers-level twist, the Winchester brothers will be light on allies when the penultimate hour picks up next week, but it does look like they'll be getting some much-needed backup...

This week's Supernatural ended with an Avengers: Infinity War-level twist as Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Jack (Alexander Calvert) bore witness to another step in God's (Rob Benedict) master plan. The all-powerful primordial being wiped every human from existence, save for the Winchesters, which sets quite the stage for the final two installments.

That wasn't the only twist, as just moments before, Castiel (Misha Collins) bid farewell to Dean (Jensen Ackles) in heartbreaking fashion before making the ultimate sacrifice to save his best friend from Death's (Lisa Berry) scythe, accepting his fate and opening a door to allow The Empty (Rachel Miner) to swallow both him and Death together.

While they'll undoubtedly be reeling when the next episode picks up, the latest promo opts to keep things relatively light-hearted as the Winchesters reunite and begin to explore the new barren wasteland, where Dean picks up an unexpected survivor. However, the photos offer more insight into what's to come as they spoil the return of Michael (Jake Abel), who will undoubtedly play a key role in helping the brothers take down God once and for all.

"Inherit the Earth" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

CARRY ON - Everything is on the line as the battle against God (guest star Rob Benedict) continues. A familiar face returns to join the fight. The episode was directed by John Showalter and written by Eugenie Ross-Leming & Brad Buckner (#1519). Original airdate 11/12/2020.
