Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episodes #2 And #3 Unrated Now

Click here to check out the unrated versions of the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' web-series................

Written by Kevin Tancharoen , Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing, “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” is an anthology of nine live action shorts, and brings to life the motivation behind each character’s participation in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game’s universe.

We've already seen the original versions of these 2 episodes but now director Kevin Tancharoen and YouTube channel Machinima have released the unrated versions of both episodes.

The unrated versions are quite a bit better, I think these are the ones they should be releasing first. The Johnny Cage episode felt a little weak to me, and I cant say I'm a fan of Matt Mullins as Cage, but the unrated version was a bit better.

The next episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy airs on Machinima this Tuesday.

I have watched all three so far, and aside from she so so acting it is pretty cool. its like a good mortal kombat movie being released in chapters rather than in a 2 hour movie. i kinda dig it, and the acting is top notch!

@Treymond

the other ones never had the Kano eye flying to the screen and swearing.

@Jazzman: Agreed and I actually think Matt does quite an impressive job as Johnny Cage considering that he's a fighter for the most part but some seem to not like that he's not emulating the Linden Ashby version.

Thought it did a good job of making you care about his character in only 11 mins.

Eyeball soup=delicious. I HATE Cage...and ya know what!?!? I actually liked that episode, more visceral and personal. I like the spin they did a la Entertainment Tonight, didnt see the Tsung ending coming though. Not too keen on Kitana and Mileena, but we'll see. I give it 8/10 thus far.

@Sweetre15

i like the webseries they are getting solid i cant wait for the rest. the Ed Boon cameo was great. to me MK work better as a webseries instead of a movie.

i have a strange feel when its coming to the end of the webseries we might see Jax bionic arms.

@crazyray

i dont know why everyone always say they dont like Cage. he always a great character his that loveable douchebag lol

jazzman
jazzman - 4/29/2011, 3:35 PM
@GLEthio

have u lost the plot this have nothing to do with MK Rebirth also they aint going to kill Cage cause it was a bad idea in the games the first place.

@TelaVizion

actually yes the 2nd episode at first had kano eye flying at the screen but some people on the net end up flagging it so youtube blocked that scene. so they reupload the video again with this same scene saying it unrated.

@Jazzman: I agree to a point....A webseries is the best way to SET UP the characters and their motives for being in the tournament but the tournament plot itself works best in movie form....which is basically the approach theyre taking.

They're likely going to take a page out of the Mortal Kombat 9 book and make the movie start on the island with flashbacks interlaced through the story as well as delving into the story of the tournament at hand.

@ToughGrappler

what are u talking about have u even played MK or know its history. Jax and Sonya are special forces and Johnny Cage is a Hollywood superstar this follow like the video game universe.

Episode 3 was awful, totally ruined the character and his origins. Only remotely cool thing about it was the cameo of Ed Boon
