IGN has released a brand-new behind-the-scenes look at Prime Video's take on the fan-favorite Bethesda Fallout video game series.

Check out the video below for a ton of new footage, including what appears to be a few shots of some notorious characters from the video game franchise.

"This is a dream come true for me as a director because you're picking up the mantle of something that so many talented artists and writers have worked on for so many decades and we knew, that we wanted to tell an original story within the Fallout universe," says executive producer and episode director Jonathan Nolan.

The series will now debut on April 11, one day sooner than initially scheduled, according to the trailer.

Previously, Nolan disclosed that he didn't set out to make fans of the video game series happy with the adaptation as such an attempt would have tried to encompass too many things from the world of video games.

Instead, he sought to make an adaptation that would please himself, as he's admittedly, a longtime fan of the game series.

"It's kind of a fool's errand to try to figure out how to make [other] people happy... You've got to make yourself happy. And I've made myself very happy with the show,"  said Nolan.

Amazon's Fallout series will now premiere on April 11. All 8 episodes will drop on the same day.

Nolan and his wife, Lisa Joy developed the series for Amazon, hiring Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner to serve as co-showrunners. Nolan directed the first three episodes of the show.

The adaptation will star Walton Goggins in the dual role of The Ghoul / Cooper Howard, alongside Ella Purnell as Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Kyle MacLachlan as Hank, Michael Emerson as Wilzig and Johnny Pemberton as Thaddeus.

Official Synopsis: Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. All episodes arrive April 11 on Prime Video.

Looks like another solid role for Goggins.

You can only hope to make something that interest and engages you rather than trying to chase if it will other people because there’s just too many differing tastes & sensibilities out there.

Some people might like something in a game , book or tv show that others may not or vice versa hence making everyone happy in an adaptation atleast can be tricky.

Anyway I haven’t played the games but on its own , I think the show looks good so excited to check it out!!.

They seem to have a good grasp on their take on the franchise & story they want to tell so that’s cool…

“The Good , The Bad and The Ugly meets Dr Strangelove meets Star Wars”

Could be good. Amazon does very well with non-fantasy adaptations.
