GameStop have just shared our first look at the box art for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game, which features some new promo art of the Webhead hanging from a bridge in one of his signature poses. Check it out after the jump.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game is due out in Spring 2014 just in time for the movie. It’ll be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.

Spider-man movie games tend to a good though. I think I'll buy this one. I just wanna see a damn gameplay trailer already.

Great image.

@HavocPrime Agreed. I hated the fact that your webbing would just stick to anything, anywhere, and even if were a foot off the floor you would still swing above it.

However, I have heard they are doing a 'Spider-Man 2' with it. So you'll need to be in or near buildings to swing, and will control which hand you fire with too.

A lot of people like a few of them from last gen, but I can't stand generic sandbox games. Last SP game I liked was Ultimate Spider-Man for PS2.

Last game sucked they should just do games that are separate from the movies. Beenox sucks so I donut they'll actually make a good spidey game

I really hope this is great. I've been waiting for another great Spider-Man game since Spider-Man 2 (and I only really cared for that game because of the web-swinging).

That's a [frick]ing beautiful cover for the game. I own the first TASM game, it isn't half as great as the good ol' Spider-Man 2 game, but I have hope this gets a boost using the PS4 engine to make the game look better. Usually games based in movies are a rental for me as well, but I can't help it when it comes to Spider-Man.

I'm hearing we'll be getting a trailer for TASM2 game trailer tomorrow. Color me excited for this, can't wait! Here's hoping Beenox will know how to take the best out of PS4 to give us a great Spider-Man game. I swear that if it's good, I'm anticipating my PS4 purchase for when I get to play TASM2.

Who said this is the last Spidey game they make? TASM video games use the movies license (has been confirmed multiple times by both Beenox and Activision). So theoretically they could keep releasing TASM games until Sony calls it a day. They can't release any comic-book based Spidey games, but they can use the Sony movie license for their Spidey games.

On the other hand, Beenox teased stuff for tomorrow. Which means we finally get to see the trailer they've been teasing since early december.

They need to bring back full swing control from Spider-Man 2. The auto-swing (and incessant "WOOOHOOOOING") in the TASM game was bush league shit. Also needs more costumes Beenox, and more missions in the actual free roam city so you don't have a big useless new York to swing through AND NOTHING ELSE after one playthrough.

Beenox were great when they gave us Shattered Dimensions, but then they followed up with Edge of Time…
I hope Activision loses this license now that Disney is out to get them all back.

Probably gonna by this game, I recently realized that I don't have single Spiderman-game for my PS3(since for some reason they can't put the 2000 classic to PSN).

The reviews scared me off initially, but would it be worth giving Edge of Time or The Amazing Spider-Man Game a try?

Hopefully Electro will be wearing his comic book costumes. The other Spider-Man games associated with Raimi's films had the characters in their comic book costumes and were extremely successful. I hope this one follows suit.
