VIDEO GAMES: Michael Ironside to voice Darkseid in LEGO DC SUPER-VILLAINS

While DC fans are having one hell of a weekend, the weekend shared out one of the most exciting news that had something to do with the forthcoming LEGO Supervillains video game and a familiar face in it.

With San-Diego Comic-Con coming to a close today, the DC Cinematic Universe future is a on a bright path, Young Justice Outsiders got their first trailer and news on their tv unit just got a whole lot interesting. But onto video games, the fine folks of TT Games & Lego announced on their panel friday that Darkseid in Lego DC Super-Villains will be voiced by none other than his actor from Bruce Timm's shared animated universe for the first time in 12 years, Michael Ironside!



The Canadian actor, who's been a household name from a number of classic movies such as Scanners, Top Gun, Total Recall, Highlander II, Starship Troopers as well for voice acting in animation and video games such as Splinter Cell, TMNT, Heavy Metal 2000, Wolverine & The X-Men and Transformers Prime, marked his twelve year return as the ruler of Apokoplis since the series finale of Justice League Unlimted in 2006. A role that he has done for a period of ten since 1996's Superman: The Animated Series. His confirmation was revealed through a panel at SDCC on friday featuring the voice talent of the game, Kevin Conroy (Batman), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), Fred Tatasciore (Black Adam) & Julie Nathason (Silver Banshee) and game director, Arthur Parsons. As they talk about the locations of the DC Universe in the game, followed by confirmation of a number of characters in it as well Ironside himself. The game's voice talent in general, will be used by an "All Star" talent, featuring the likes of Conroy, Strong, Mark Hamill, John Borrowman, Grey Griffin, Susan Eisenberg, Nolan North, Michael Rosenbaum & many more!

The game will be invading in stores October 16, 2018.
