The story for Arkham City takes place one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp, former warden of Arkham Asylum, has taken credit for stopping the Joker, and used that notoriety to become mayor of Gotham City. As neither Arkham nor Blackgate Prison are in any condition to hold inmates, Sharp buys out a large section of Gotham's slums and arms the perimeter with private military contractors from a group called Tyger in order to create "Arkham City". The prisoners are brought into Arkham City and are given free rein, as long as they do not attempt escape. To oversee the city, Sharp uses psychiatrist Hugo Strange who appears to have his own secret agenda for the city. Batman maintains a vigil over the city, worried that the situation may get out of hand. Part of the setup for "Arkham City" was contained in plans in a hidden room in Sharp's office in Arkham Asylum.

And in case you missed the teaser:

Good Lord I can't wait for this game. I love the Tyger aspect, with Bats taking out private soldiers as well as criminals.

I love how when he's kicking those soldiers' asses, his cowl looks like Keaton's from Burton's first batfilm! Watch it in slow mo and in the dark (althought Btas looks to be 6'7 there lol) it really looks like Keaton's kicking ass!!! But then you see him close up looking like George...

@ tittie yea to find the secret room when you first go into the office go to the left wall, just before the steps up to his desk, and use your explosive gel on the wall i think it takes three or four times and you will blow a hole in the wall that shows the secret room

absolutely a true piece of artwork there. great find. i wish someone would take these types of real artwork and expand the canvas to a resolution size of 2560x1440 so we sport these as wallpapers. that would be a true "holy SNYCKEY" moment.

Witty, get the [frick] outta here with that bullshit. AC is a great game. I don't know if I'm pissed or just feel sorry for you for making such a dumb statement. You probably think Uncharted sucks too. *sigh*

@witty, arkham asylum was great, but I prefer assassin's creed in about every aspect of game play. To each his own.

That's actually a relatively old picture for the game. It was featured on GameInformer.com when they did the cover story for it.
