MCU Stars Congratulate Gal Gadot And Patty Jenkins On WONDER WOMAN

It was a record-setting weekend for WB's Wonder Woman movie and the Marvel film stars are not hesitating to cross (fan created) enemy lines to offer positive vibes and praise for Gal Gadot and co.

The colossal box office success of Wonder Woman is just to big to go unremarked, even if you happen to work for the competition. As we saw over the weekend, Chris Hemsworth conceded to Gal Gadot that Wonder Woman could kick Thor's butt but the Odinson wasn't the only Marvel star taking notice of what Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and the rest of the Wonder Woman cast and crew accomplished.

Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, Captain America star Chris Evans and Black Panther newcomer  Lupita Nyong’o were but a few of the MCU partisans liking what Wonder Woman's success symbolizes.  Marvel certainly has to be all the more bullish about Brie Larson's Captain Marvel and the chances that it performs just as well.

Ok people, I just left the theater and KNOW for CERTAIN that the GODS have seen fit to BLESS us with #WONDERWOMAN. W.O.W. It is a superhero movie like none I have ever seen. Epic. FUN. Engaging. Stylistically Captivating. Funny in an honest, not-trying-too-hard way. Witty. Smart. Perfect length. Fierce. Sensual. Just amazing. @Gal_Gadot will glue you to the screen and at the same time make you want to run to the nearest costume shop to get your W on and join the #GODESSNESS right away (W = #WomanWarriorOfTheWorld). Director #PattyJenkins IS NOT PLAYING AROUND, as she gives us some AMAZON REALNESS in an exquisitely directed story. Chris Pine is irresistable. The score is KILLER. And it is the type of film that I think you can enjoy over and over. This movie definitely goes down as a classic in its genre for me. @wonderwomanfilm #RunAndGoSeeIt #HadToGush #PromotionFromTheHeart.

@Elayem -

I think the DCEU has been attempting to popularise the flame war to create competition and discussion about the Superhero movies - which in turn tends to get their movies talked about.

For example, Chris Pine's remarks on Infinity War;
- Were posted on Marvel and DC focused sites, spreading the awareness of the Wonder Woman movie
- Were a potential jab at Infinity War to try and create fan discussion
- Partially part of the 'Our stuff is different' marketing technique

I'm not stereotyping the DCEU here, they are just the most recent to do this. Marvel did this during Phase 1 of the Cinematic Universe. Fox and Sony have done this to varying extents along with other companies.

Fans always want to cause a debate, they want to know which is better, and because of this they become easy to exploit.

Justice League or Avengers, which is better? I'm sure that question is going to be the focal point for the next few months in the run-up to the release. We've already had a few interviewers ask this and spin stories based on a cast members response.
