DARK PHOENIX Star Sophie Turner Says She "Would Kill" To Return As Jean Grey In A Future X-MEN Movie

After being delayed due to unfinished visual effects, Dark Phoenix finally arrived in theaters last June to scathing reviews and a dismal box office haul. Many fans were anxious to see the movie fail with the rights to the X-Men back at Marvel Studios, and it's fair to say they got their wish!

We don't know much (well, anything) about what Kevin Feige and company have planned, but Dark Phoenix lead Sophie Turner is definitely hoping she's given the chance to return as Jean Grey.

"I don't even know what the deal is, whether Disney wants to continue on the X-Men journey," the actress says in the video below. "I would always be down to go back to that character and that cast and that experience... we had the best time on those movies. I would kill to go back."

Unfortunately for Turner, the chances of that happening are between slim and none.

While Fox definitely assembled an impressive young cast when they rebooted the franchise, it's impossible to imagine Feige wanting to deal with any of the baggage from the series which was overseen by Simon Kinberg. Instead, a fresh start is a must, and that means no return as Jean Grey for the Games of Thrones alum.
