NEW MUTANTS Pushed Back To 2020; AVATAR Sequels Delayed; GAMBIT Removed From Schedule

It looks like Josh Boone's New Mutants movie is still on track for a theatrical release... next year.

It's been announced that the horror-tinged X-Men spinoff has been delayed yet again, and won't be with us until April 3, 2020. In addition, the long-gestating Gambit movie which would have starred Channing Tatum has (finally) been removed from the slate and appears to be officially dead in the water. Disney also removed three other untitled Fox/Marvel projects from the schedule.

We also have bad news for Avatar fans, as the first sequel to James Cameron's mega-hit has now been pushed back to December 17, 2021. This means that the final installment in the new trilogy won't hit theaters until 17/12/27 - two years later than previously planned.

What do you guys make of these delays/cancellations? Sound off below, and click here to find out when the next batch of Marvel and Star Wars movies will be released.

Consider this: they’re filming avatar 2, 3, 4 back to back to back.

So there is a film in production today that won’t be released for 8 and a half years.
