Over the past few weeks, director James Mangold and the entire Logan team have been working diligently to put the finishing touches on their upcoming superhero sequel, just in time for its worldwide premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, and with each passing day, they seem to be getting closer and closer to the finish line.

Earlier this evening, Mangold shared a brief snippet from a scoring session with Academy Award-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma) that allows us to catch an almost 30-second preview of one of the tracks that'll be featured in the movie. Check it out below:

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border.

But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Logan features:
Director: James Mangold

Sounds pretty awesome, can't wait for this. Hugh deserves the best send off possible.

I'm pretty much over the X-Men and ready for a Wolverine break until the inevitable, and hopefully more faithful take on him, but I'm really excited for this.

@Superman8 - me too. I appreciate what Hugh brought to the role, but I would like a more faithful adaptation after this.

They botched the Weapon X story with Origins and that's such a compelling story too. The Wolverine was a good third act away from being a great Wolverine tale. I just hope we get more exploration into his past with the next guy, and that the execution is better.
