Tye Sheridan Comments Briefly On Joining X-MEN: APOCALYPSE As 'Cyclops'
It was revealed yesterday that Tye Sheridan (Mud) will play Scott Summers/Cyclops in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, and the young actor has spoken out about the role for the first time since director Bryan Singer made the news official. Hit the jump to read his comments...
Tye Sheridan was one of the only actors on the Cyclops shortlist to not be asked about the role before he was ultimately cast, but The Hollywood Reporter caught up with the actor at the Sundance Film Festival to get his thoughts on the role. Unfortunately, we only have the Tweet below to go on for the time being, but hopefully the full interview with be posted online soon.
At least we know that he's a fan of the franchise, and I'm guessing he'll be shooting THIS summer and not next (it's obviously a typo considering the fact that the movie is actually released in May 2016). Joining him in X-Men: Apocalypse are Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and relative unknown Alexandra Shipp as Storm. Are you looking forward to seeing Sheridan as Cyclops?
