Following the news that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen has reiterated her interest in sharing the screen with the Scarlet Witch's "dad," Magneto.

Marvel Studios has slowly started bringing mutants into the MCU, with Ms. Marvel and Namor the Submariner the first confirmed characters with the X-gene. While the Scarlet Witch has embraced her magical abilities in recent years, many fans remain convinced that her latent mutant abilities were somehow activated by the Mind Stone.

That would make sense, particularly if the plan is to eventually adapt House of M and that infamous "No More Mutants" moment from the comic books.

Variety recently caught up with Elizabeth Olsen and broke the news to her that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine will appear in Deadpool 3. Clearly excited by this development, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star would go on to share her interest in the Scarlet Witch sharing the screen with the X-Men.

"I don’t know. I think if whenever we bring in X-Men - I guess Wolverine is X-Men, right? I mean, it would be cool to work with a lot of those people from the X-Men franchise," Olsen says in the video below. "I think [Michael] Fassbender’s [Magneto is] my dad in some world? That would be [cool]."

It would be hard for Magneto to be retconned into the MCU as Wanda Maximoff's father, but certainly isn't impossible. Having him manipulate her powers to further his cause could be a very interesting direction to take the next Saga in, particularly if it means spending more time with Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

Despite her apparent demise in the Doctor Strange sequel, Marvel Studios has barely scratched the surface of Wanda's potential. Another likely storyline they could borrow heavily from down the line is Avengers: The Children's Crusader

"no more mutants" when we havent really had any mutants in the MCU yet would mean that the story line is years and years and years away. unles they try something multi-verse wise where an alternative Wanda says those words and instead of the mutants in her universe dying they are all pushed in to the current MCU universe?

@DemonTweeks - maybe a Wanda does that in the FoX-Men universe, and that sets Deadpool abd Wolverine on a roadtrip to find a new universe to settle in?

@ObserverIO - Deadpool and Wolverine Vs The Hulk or form The Uncanny X-force and have them go up against The Hulk.

Speaking of Uncanny X-force, I was thinking about some of their great stories in that run.

Killing Apocalypse as a baby.
Deathlok saga
Archangel becoming the new Apocalypse
The Omega Clan

Really with a Deadpool movie it feels like you could get in as many cameos as possible from MCU characters.
It’d be great if Deadpool 3 is like an Avengers level event film. I doubt they’re spend that kind of money on DP but I can dream.

I imagine a lot of MCU actors are going to want to interact with the shiny new toys that are the X-men. It’s going to be sad if we never get Steve Rogers Captain America and Cyclops to meet. The two biggest interactions I want though is definitely Rogue vs Captain Marvel and Hulk vs Wolverine. With Wanda I’m much more interested in seeing her hook back up with Agatha Harkness, and maybe meet this guy:
