In a recent interview with IGN Hugh JackMan thinks that his replacement is in talks:

"I'm sure they had the discussion, They didn't mention it to me, obviously!Every day I walk on the set with the claws and the hair, I thank my lucky stars. I don't take any of it for granted. To think that in a second version we'd have this cast and this director, and you guys don't know the script, but I would say probably the best script of all of them, is pretty amazing. I think that's why I'm still here. I'm sure by the way, that it won't always be my decision to always be here. At some point, someone will close the door on me… [Laughs]"

It stars an ensemble cast including Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Evan Joingket and Lucas Till. The story is written by Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman, with Kinberg writing the screenplay.

He's their main attraction

Here is some simple math you may understand

Jackson Five minus Michael Jackson = Zero!

There is only one actor I can see taking over the role: Manu Bennett.

@Odin

I've never considered Manu Bennett for the role but now that you mention it he would make a pretty bad ass Logan/ Wolvie

They should only replace him if they reboot the franchise from the start, not three quarters of the way through it.

Justin Theroux should be next...

Justin Therroux is the only good casting anyone has put forth. The rest look nothing like Logan.

I'd like to see Antony Starr from Banshee take the claws next. He is pretty good at projecting that infamous rage we are due to see from Logan.

And outside of the Harvey Keitel, he's also the shortest.

Well, i think, that before Fox recast the character should take at least 3 things in consideration: 1) the character should have a supportive role, a secondary role (give Cyclops his chance to shine as leader, please) 2) therefore, cast the character likewise, which means, find a non big star actor, and 3) find someone close to the height of the character (no more tall guys, please).

My choices would be (not in order):
Christian Howard
James Roday
Scott Speedman
Scott Caan
Anson Mount

No problem. I still see Wolverine.

Banshee is the best show of its kind since Justified. I would love to see Starr in a CBM, maybe as Nova.

If Jackman walks away, we may finally get a clean reboot, since everything up to this point has been worked around keeping his Wolverine in their established "FoX-Men" universe. Their version of "continuity".

He is the reason we got the grab-bag of mutants and didn't get the actual first class in X-Men First Class. Think about it. Can't have Cyclops, Iceman, Jean Grey etc. running around in the 1960's-70's, if they're with Wolverine in 2000 when they were in their 30's.

If he walks awawy, we get a reboot. Unless they decide to stick with the "First Class" of Fassbender, Hoult, Lawrence and McAvoy, which wouldn't suprise me. Fox has to play it safe. Yeah, that sounds like a quality X-Men team.

You said "no more tall guys, please" and proceed to suggest Anson Mount who is 6'1"?

Very Good

If Skye turns out to be ANY character EVER to appear in ANY X-book;
expect FOX to say her character has always been planned for their next film.
