Pre-production on X-Men: Apocalypse is underway, and director Bryan Singer has posted a new BTS image to his Instagram. The doors seen below have featured in most of the previous X-Men movies, and usually lead to professor X's telepathy-enhancing machine, Cerebro. But it seems that won't be the case in this upcoming instalment. The image was accompanied by this caption: "I know. Old door. But there'll be something new behind it. #XmenApocalypse". So what could that be? The Danger Room perhaps? That training facility did appear in Brett Ratner's The Last Stand, but we've yet to see Singer's interpretation of it. Or maybe it's be something completely new to the franchise. What do you think?

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), with Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The movie reportedly starts shooting this summer and will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.

I've gotten so excited for Apocalypse! DoFP was great (even though the overcrowding is still a problem and will most likely always be...) and now they have the chance to change everything and make X-Men movies good again! So happy to see young Jean and the rest. I'd even love to see Scarlet Witch with Quicksilver actually! At first I was mad at Fox for this but Quicksilver was really good and I think it will be great to see him with Wanda there. Plus, say [frick] you to Marvel comics, Magneto is their father and they are mutants. I'd accept the change of origins in the MCU but even the comics Marvel? Dick move.

Yeah I agree, he might be talking some form of continuity in regards to the same door we've seen from the earlier films but this time there will be new mutants behind that door. lol Just my thoughts, don't quote me.

Would be nice to see the Danger Room though. He was going to originally use it for X3. Since this story will be a fresh one involving his ideas along with the writers of X2 I wouldn't be surprised if we do get to see something like this. Once we figure out if Cyclops and the gang would've been a part of this team before the film begins only then will we know what to really expect from this film.
