Filming for the Matthew Vaughn-directed X-Men-First Class has been progressing in Oxford, South East England, at Hertford college. A student, Christina Head, allowed the production crew to use her room to store electrical equipment, while filming occurred outside, according to The Oxford Student.

After setting up for three weeks, filming for two days, and spending around $200,000, Location Manager Tony Hood said that this would produce only a few minutes of usable footage. He also reveals what the scenes being filmed will depict in the film.

Hood says, "The scenes shot in Oxford will include Xavier getting doctorates in theology and philosophy from Oxford University in the 1960s, his manipulation of student uprisings using his psychic powers, and the way he meets best friend turned arch rival Magneto.". He also says, "Although the setting will be identified as Oxford, do not expect to recognize it. One of the scenes is shot outside a fictional pub."

Starring James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Erik Lehnsherr), and January Jones (Emma Frost), X-Men: First Class is scheduled for theaters July 3, next year.

Here is My Theory on The X-men Movies

Fox needs to realize

IF YOU POLISH A TURD ITS STILL A TURD!

Sometimes you just need a Reboot and Give your Comic Book Characters actual Comic Book Costumes instead of Giving them Leather Costumes...

I mean Wolverine didn't even wear a Mask! WTF!

@ arrionshadow

totally agree on the costume issues.

you can blame batman forever & batman & robin for making comic costumes f*ck ups, they gave batmans costume nipples & a codpiece.

those two movies almost killed off the comic book movie genre,no one took comic book movies serious until x-men & spider-man came out.

I'm so OVER the FOX-Men movies. They're such crap. I'd love for MARVEL to get the rights back & reboot it properly like the fans deserve. & please either give them an R rating or ATLEAST a hard PG-13. I'm tired of Wolverine slicing & dicing ppl with no proof of blood. Are his claws that sharp???

I really thought i liked the X-men movies when they came out, But Only because the name "X-Men" was in the title, but after watching them it just didn't feel like X-men Scott Summers was a horrible leader, the movie centered around Wolverine the Whole time and it just didn't feel like the comics, There was No Danger room, No sentential, No Mask or Costume for Wolverine, I was just hoping for something a little more close to the 90's X-Men Cartoon and when I seen it I was left very disappointing and betrayed, After knowing what I was going into I liked X2 a little better but was still not happy with it and the third one suffered the Comic book 3rd movie Curse.

I thought Wolverine Origins would fix some of my concerns with the costumes by showing Wolverine working in Canada hiding his Identity under a mask yet again I was let down I still can't understand how Gambit is in the 70's The X-men movies have a really bad problem with TIME all of these characters and none of them are the right ages from the comics! Its full of plot holes that i dont even want to think of
