haha that was awesome. X-Men 1 is indeed very problematic. X-Men 2 still one of the best CBM ever, but too much wolverine.

Best thing about FC: no spotlight on wolverine. hope someday we see an x-men movie with no wolverine as the center again.

I will never understand the love for First Class.

I don't give a shit about source material but I find that movie boring as hell.

The only good scenes are with Fassbender.

Yea X2 is the best. I don't mind X3 mainly because Beast is my favorite X-Men and he was great so I don't mind it as much as other fans.

You can never have too much Wolverine. That was the main best thing about the 1st trilogy. Its also why X3 was the best of the original trilogy.

@LEVITIKUZ I say x3 is shit mainly because compared to the second, But I can still watch it at times, different of spider-man 3 and x-men origins, which are [frick]ing boring and so awful that it hurts, but x3 is a good dumb fun for beast scenes.

--Storm didn't speak in swahili
--Why is wolverine even in this movie
--the leather suits blah blah

And my favorite Mathew vaughn and his Lenny kravitz daughter as a wasp girl deserve an Oscar they're the only ones who understand the x-men

X 1 was great problematic writing are u kidding me?

It was the most straight forward story you can get

Really really people who say storm ruined it for them are just repeating sentiments they think are popular.

How about some emotional depth and characterization people.

And those who champion fist ass ( excuse that meme )
Remember vaughn only cheapened these characters by having Kevin bacon molest magneto a dowdy mystique with body image issues and bullet proof suits that ended up not working.

O but I'm sure banshee was faithfully adapted

I respect Singer. SDCC ate him and the cast up! Actually, through the postage stamp, I saw of the panel.., it looked like they ate them up.

2 things that should be noted about singers xmen movies. But they really reduce to one, the MCU wouldn't exist if not for them.

1) if marvel had the rights to xmen they wouldn't be making movies about their b-list characters

2) the first Xmen kicked off the golden age of CBMs, sure it had its antecedents, but xmen and X2 were instrumental in establishing the genre in its modern sense.

So suck it up, and let it be. Even if its as a necessary evil.

Bryan Singer did a great job with the X Men franchise and help establish the comicbook era we live nowadays.

I think we all kind of hate this franhise now because of The Last Stand and Wolverine Origins.

Let's welcome this new episode with an open mind this time.

( And now that we have Man of Steel, we can even forgive him about Superman Returns ). It's ok Bryan, we don't hate you anymore. :)

I always feel like such a oddball whenever people say that as I actually didn't care for this franchise from X1 onwards. Even at ten years old I thought X1 was mediocre and X2 was better but not good enough to stick with me (like Raimi's Spiderman did). All X3 and Origins did was turn the "meh" into hate.

Chances are though that I would have liked those movies more if they had actually done all my favorite X-men justice but lol nope. Rogue was [frick]ed. Jubliee was [frick]ed. Storm was [frick]ed. Cyclops was REALLY [frick]ed and Gambit was nowhere to be found... then they [frick]ed him up too.

First Class, however, was great and is pretty much the only X-film I love... which is why I'll be catching DOFP when it comes on cable.
