"How Many Words Was That?" Great New Clip From THE WOLVERINE

The Wolverine is out this coming weekend, but you have to take a look at the excellent new clip featured in the following HBO: Advanced Notice video, which is one of my favorite moments from the movie. There's also a bit of banter with Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine hits theaters July 26th, 2013.

Lol... That is one of the most Wolverine-est portrayals Hugh Jackman has done... Amazing what a good(?) script can do...

I used to love Wolverine as a character, but then he was over used in the X-Men movies and the last 10 years in the comics. It kind of ruined it for me and I can't get excited for him anymore.

@Dmon Wolverine isn't overused in comics. He just in the amount of comics someone of his popularity would garner.

@GuardianAngel Nope that is Wolverine. Batman is the star of his own comics. In New 52 Justice League all the characters a featured pretty much evenly. Also in the other Justice League titles you never see Batman.

X-Men is supposed to be about the team. In the comics they have made it about Wolverine and then everyone else. And they have done that in the movies as well. I miss the X-Men of the 90's when it was much more balanced.

Who in the hell get's excited for a 69% on RT? That's terrible for the "Best movie for this character we've done". After 6 tries, it should atleast get an 80%. I blame Fox. Not Jackman. The man seems to genuinely love the character. I'll go bunch see it with a bunch of friends, but my hopes are not high.

PeterDarker,

Superman Returns has a 76% compared to MoS 58%.

Critics on RT have a certain bias. Especially for comic book films. It's all about being completely dark and gritty or completely witty and fun.

This Wolverine film is very character driven and a mix of both. Critics cannot handle that.

I liked it, but didn't like the guy falling into a pool. Thats where a Rated R would of made the diffrence. Still a neat scene overall though.

looks like this movie could be a little better than what has come before but I think the best wolverine movie is yet to be made. needs to be deeper, darker, & possibly R rated, and with new actor...nothing against hugh
