How Will Halle Berry's Pregnancy Affect Storm In X-MEN: DOFP?

When it was announced that the actress was expecting, we all wondered if and how it would affect her appearance as Storm in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Well according to Berry herself, the character will still be "an integral part" of the film, though some changes will have to be made.

It seems the fact that Halle Berry is expecting her second child with fiance Olivier Martinez isn't going to stop her reprising the role of Storm in Bryan Singer's currently shooting follow up to X-Men: First Class. When the BBC UK asked her about it, the gorgeous actress reveals that although no changes have been made to the script, they would have to "shoot around the bump" and the character probably won't be getting in on the action as much as originally planned.



"Storm probably won't be as badass as she was going to be because we won't be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that. She'll be different than we originally planned her to be but I still think she'll be an integral part of this new X-Men movie."


X-Men: Days Of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart, and will hit theaters July 18, 2014.

Just write the damn character out of the film, it's not too difficult when you've got sentinels, simply have them kill her off, off screen. Or just simply recast the character.

Not surprised. I wrote about this on another site last week (though obviously without her quote). She's 46; pregnancies at that age aren't as routine as they are when you're younger. Wire work would have been wildly dangerous and other alternatives are only marginally better.

Just because they're filming doesn't mean they can't, and shouldn't recast. There's lots of movies that began filming with one actor then they got fired or quit and the scenes were shot with a new one. It's still early enough to can the broad.

Or how about they just get a stunt double for over the shoulder shots or birds eye view action sequences?? I'm kinda disappointed to hear the news that Storm was actually planned to have more action scenes and we won't get to see that. However I can't be mad at the fact that someones pregnant, that's wayyy too selfish...lol She should name the child (if it's a girl) "Ororo" xD

Anyway, really hoping that Storms missing action scenes won't take too much away from the film :(((

She can still fly and fight, it's called a stunt double! But there's always the option to have be cgi, at least for the flying scenes.

I actually didnt mind Halle as storm. She wasnt great but not horrible. I would have liked storm to have an accent but its not a deal breaker for me. Scarjo played a good BW without an accent. All that said recast storm. My biggest problem with storm in the originals was the lack of action and lack of power demonstration. If they cut the action or have a poor fit for a stunt double, i would be highly upset. I do hope for the best though.

Man Halle has got some of the best tits around, i could only imagine them even more swollen. What was it, a extra couple mil for her to show them in Swordfish for the first time. Then after that she was showing them off everywhere.
