Hugh Jackman Confirms Earlier Reports Of Time Travel In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Commenting briefly on his return as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hugh Jackman has confirmed that we will indeed see time travel in the Bryan Singer helmed sequel and also promises that, "Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it."

The title and return of several actors from the previous trilogy of X-Men movies was more than enough for us to come to a pretty safe conclusion that time travel would factor into X-Men: Days of Future Past, but Hugh Jackman has now confirmed it! 20th Century Fox consultant Mark Millar did let it slip in an interview not too long ago, but that was very much just an off the cuff comment (although he did recently mention there being "one element of time jump" in the movie). After all, it was possible that director Bryan Singer would instead use flash-forward's to show us an alternate future (thereby keeping the slightly more grounded tone of the previous instalments in the franchise), but the Academy Award nominated actor very specifically mentioned time travel while talking to The Daily Mail recently. "There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed," Jackman told the site before moving on to talk about which other superheroes we should expect to see appear in the movie. However, it seems like a safe bet that he's exaggerating somewhat! "You wouldn’t have enough room on the page after you’ve listed them all. Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it." Now all we need is for someone out there to hurry up and confirm the appearance of Sentinels...

Hasn't Mark Millar already confirmed this? Twice? There was the original statement where he compared it to Terminator and just 2 days ago he said there was one element of a time jump in the movie.

I'm completely with you. After X-Men Last Stand and that other movie staring Hugh Jackman, it's so bad that it deserves to never be named again, Fox better do it right this time. So, I will continue to remain skeptical of this flick regardless of how good it seems to be turning into. X-Men: First Class was a good flick. Here's hoping that this one will be, too.

Let us see this happen for reals this time, too!

I'd love to get glimpses of Cable, Bishop and Rachel Summers in the future as part of the resistance, and then have one of them be the one who makes the jump to the past.

Oh, and an old Forge too. He'd be the one who would make the time machine in the first place.

I'm pretty sure the Sentinels won't be 60 feet tall - they'll likely look a LOT like the Hammer Drones from Iron Man 2, and they'll talk like Robocop.

And what's wrong with that?

I'm hoping for Jennifer Garner to reprise her role as Elektra, possibly as Logan's lover (as she was in the comics, during the '90s) and some of the FF (maybe Chris Evans as Johnny Storm) with Franklin Richards. They could/ shouldgo further into the future and have Franklin Richards and Rachel Grey-Summers give birth to the most powerful mutant ever. Every member of the Summers/Grey family should bve in this, especially Cable. And, of course, if we don't get Scott and Jean joining the First Class team, people are gonna shit a brick and hurl it at Singer.

Actually, the part in X3 with the Danger room and the Sentinel head was pretty awesome. If DOFP would look like that, i'd be pretty happy. Just throw some full size shots of Sentinels in there (Transformers style) and it'd be a great movie. Colossus serving a fastball special?! that's right out of the comics. The only part of that clip that bothers me is how Storm 'floats' instead of flies, but that can be corrected. This scene was just a tease--the rest of the movie was horrible.

The Wolverine will happen AFTER X3, confirmed right? At the end of The Wolverine, he should be visited by his future self or someone (kitty pryde or Cable) to tell him of the future that happens without a Professor X to keep the peace. Then it leads to DOFP where the future crew must go back to the past to save the Professor and stop this future from happening.

I love Wolverine, but I hope he is NOT the time traveler, though it seems Fox is going this route, so prepare for this movie to ne Wolverine and the Days of Future Past.

The sentinels have to be in this. Even if its only like ten minutes of some characters in the future fighting them, while someone else makes a time jump to the past. It should be longer but i could live with 10-15 minutes of mutant on sentinel mayhem. I don't think they will be the full on 60 foot titans like the comic verison though. More like the Destroyer from THOR would be my guess.Would love to see Cable but considering Brett Ratner went full on RETARD with X-3 and killed scott and jean, that could be tricky. It is a time travel movie though so who knows..... Oh and how about a REAL DEADPOOL sighting/cameo. Just to know he is out there.
