While doing press for The Woman In Black, Jane Goldman spoke with Bleeding Cool about the film as well as some of her upcoming projects. After talking about The Woman In Black, she was asked on the side about her involvement with the First Class sequel.

I’m working on two different American studio projects now, neither of which has really been officially announced yet, but one of which has sort of been talked about online, but the other hasn’t… the Tim Burton is one of them, yeah.

I’ve spoken recently about Kick-Ass 2 so everything I have to say about that is already online but X-Men… yeah, I probably can’t say anything about that but there will definitely be one. I’m honestly not involved… Simon Kinberg is writing a draft right now.

Since Vaughn was just recently announced to return, nobody is sure how much, if any, work Kinberg and Vaughn have put in together. No word as of yet either if Vaughn will take the script and work on it, similar to what he and Goldman did on the first one. It was written, and then Vaughn and Goldman reworked it to fit more with Vaughn's overall plan.

The sequel appears to be on the fast-track, so if Goldman is going back to the Xavier Institute, it will be happening pretty soon.

What do you think? Will it be a big mistake for the sequel to not include Goldman? Think she will come on board soon? Sound off below!

P862010: Kinberg wrote the first draft, and with Vaughn already confirmed, you can bet that he will bring Goldman in. Kingberg must have wrote a good draft, because I don't think Vaughn would agree to do it if it's really bad.

Exactly, the final draft could be nothing like this first one. But i'm sure she will be called in on it eventually, i hope so anyway, she's a good writer, and her house is crammed with Comics too.

I hope she has no part in the next movie...we don't need no more Mystique/beast lovestory...we don't need no more old ass/ ugly ass emma frost, and she was probably the one to chose Mystique's horrible wig...her turning down the Kick ASS two sequal is reason enough not to like this woman...and wasn't she the one who put the jet pack concept in Kick ASS? that was one of the worst parts of that movie...let Vaughn work his magic alone...and for the love of God bring Mr. Sinister to the big screen!!..

i like the mr.sinister idea .....or sentinels.....they could roll with the sentienls .....cause after wall the russian and american forces and government just saw how powerful mutants could be....out of fear the next logical step would be to initiate the sentienls to round up the "dangerous mutants"........mr sinister could be the villian that is set for the third .....daniel craig could pull sinister off
