X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.




X-Men: First Class is set to be released on blu-ray in the US on September 12th, and in the UK on October 28th.

@marvel72: If I would think that much about stuff like that, even though we already know what it is based on a common sense, I would go crazy. Let's just say that the film was good, critics loved it, fans too, it was a decent box office success, and now they have to be smart and make a sequel that will finally confirm the reboot plans, like we all already knew it would happen.

He actually says pre-quill which as everybody knows is Norwegian for reboot. What do they teach you kids in schools these days?

Yep played it again and he clearly uses the Norwegian word pre-quill not the English word prequel.Listen closely. Pre-quill is longer and almost has an "H" sound in the middle.
Now the question really is: Is there going to be a sequel or a sea-quill, which is old norse for a fat woman swimming.

First Class was definitely better than Thor but not better than Captain America. Thor was good but just did not have that wow factor I was looking for. Although the cast and performances were tremendous. First Class just felt like the better film in my opinion. But it really lacked exploring the other characters such as Havoc, Banshee, Riptide, Angel, and Azazel. And like what everybody said Fassabender owned the movie from beginning to end and is one of the most engaging comic book portrayals I have seen.

"007 logo from the nigh teen 60's" . I have said all along Vaughn never wanted to make an X-man movie. He wanted to make a Bond flick. Maniac has plan to take over the world, Agent of the government stops plot. Sound like a movie named first class to you? instead of an Astin Martin and a laser watch he has a team of mutants and magnetic powers. And he is monogamous. Heo nly has love for one mysterious person in his life and this ,Mathew my boy, is where you struck gold because.............wait for it........

Err no they say its a prequel in the begining of the video only the delusional people in self denial think its a reboot

its a good film not better than X2 no where near as good as Iron man or Cap

if they wanted to make a reboot they shouldve been smart and oh i dont know .......

made the ACTUAL FIRST CLASS not make a film that should be really called Magneto Origins + a bunch of random shit x men you wont care about

cable23- tell when did in cap movie they explore bucky? cause i didn't see that, and in part 2 of this movie they can explore the characters and wait hold on they explore the characters more than cap explore bucky.

Lovesd this film. it was the first one that felt like a TRUE X-men film, as all the others were basically Wolverine, featuring the X-men.

Yeah I absolutely loved the 60s feel of the film. In retrospect, much as I loved Thor and Cap, and much as they were good films, X-Men FC was the best MOVIE of the superhero movies this year. Its big downside was its non-canonicality (is that a word? :) ), but it was such a good film I forgave it.
