More footage for Fox's Matthew Vaughn-directed X-Men: First Class seems to be unveiling lately, following the reveal of a official trailer. And now, courtesy of the studios' foreign Youtube channel, check out the latest Tv spot offering snippets of new footage.

This film looks good and I'm willing 2 give it a shot. End of the day most audiences wont really care how faithful it is 2 the source material, as long as it's got a good story and is entertaining they will watch it... That being said, I really wish Marvel brought the rights back and made their own X-Men film, Cylcops really needs some time 2 shine as the real leader of the team!

Marvel will probably NEVER get X-Men back, FOX will keep making movies to avoid losing the rights, and Marvel are known for how defensive they are over their money (Terrence Howard AND Ed Norton having their contracts terminated over pay issues) so they certainly wont BUY the rights back any time soon. So you may have a very long wait.
Despite how good this movie may be, there will always be people who gripe on it based solely on the movie studio that produced it. Yeah, Marvel would probably make a more faithful movie, or at least interconnect it, but thats not necessarily what makes a good movie. Iron Man 2 was dissapointing IMO, they built up Iron Man for an amazing sequel, and instead they overfilled it with Marvel references and sacrificed story telling.
I'm sure that X-Men: First Class will be a good, maybe even GREAT. Not necessarily a good adaptation, but a fantastic film. And WHY does a CBM need to be EXACTLY like the comic book? You want to see a CBM completely faithful to the source material... DONT BOTHER WATCHING THE MOVIE, JUST READ A COMIC BOOK! Yeah, a movie called X-Men First Class should contain something that at least resembles the First class, but it could be like The Dark Knight (title wise), those words were the very last words uttered in that amazing film, not a moment before. The fact this is called First Class doesn't necessarily mean it's gunna focus on THE First Class, it could be a foreshadowing to Xavier recruiting HIS first class at the end of the film.
Maybe this is some kind of hopeless, wishful thinking, but I'm gunna stop rambling now.

For the record, I think they would have been better off making X-Men Origins: Magneto first, and having First Class as the title of the sequel with the team consisting of Prof X, Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Storm and Angel (with X3 being edited or removed from continuity), with Storm replacing Ice Man because I think he's too young in the movieverse to be an original X-Man.
BUT, I'm not one to pointlessly whine about movies when they dont go how I want them to. I can accept that movies will always change the source material, so I look at it this way:
It's a movie based on a comic book series that has run for decades. If it's good, it just reinforces how great that comic book is. If it's terrible, it wont effect the comic book, because at the end of the day, it's just a movie. But I will not dismiss a movie as terrible until I've seen it in it's entirety and judge it based on how good the story is.
