Well, these results aren't exactly a huge shock! Never really portrayed all that well in either of Bryan Singer's X-Men movies and killed off within minutes of Brett Ratner's awful contribution to the franchise, it's not hard to imagine why exactly fans want to see the popular leader of the mutant team recieve the big screen treatment once again. Meanwhile, it was Gambit who just beat Cable to second place with there then being a fairly significant jump down to characters such as Colossus, Storm and Bishop. Surprisingly, depite constant complaints about the "original five" not being in X-Men: First Class, Marvel Girl, Iceman and Angel didn't rank that highly in the end results!

at this point who cares just pick anyone, I personally want Skin and Chamber and they can be the second class, screw the originals they cant be used till the mid 70's any way and even then they are going to be babies

He's Xavier's protege, who better than take up the command as field leader? And plus they've pissed on him for too long in this series. Time for him to take up centre stage. It would be especially interesting to see his interaction with Havok as well as opening the doors for Mr Sinister as the villain. Cyclops FTW!

The last thing the world needs is more Whiney Cyc, good lord, so annoying. Give a character we haven't seen to death, Thunderbird would be nice. Hell Northstar would be interesting, at least he has a hook besides, I have brain damage and can't control my power.

Cyclops should have been there from the beginning but oh well... as long as he gets a decent adaptation on the big screen I don't mind him making a late debut in this franchise.

Cyclops has always been my favorite X-Men and the treatment he gets in comics these days is great, he's become a true leader, edgier, not afraid to show the full potential of his powers.

So would the sequel take place after Wolverine? It seems like quite some time has passed at that point. I think they're aiming to set the next story not very long after this one.

How is Colossus the obvious choice when he's a teenager in X-men 2? If they're trying to bring things up to te point of the first movie, it's a must to introduce Cyclops, Jean, and Storm.

I'm always utterly shocked at how much everyone loves Cyclops. I always thought he was the worst X-Men character by a long shot. Just really boring with now distinctive qualities.

It always seemed like Cyclops was never defined by any of his own merit, but more defined by the woman he was with, whether it was Jean or Emma.

He has been misinterpreted alot, both in the comics and adaptations, but he has also had his fair share of badass moments too. It's just he's never had a chance to shine in the movies.

Ummm...you could only vote for one, so that comment really doesn't make that much sense. Of course Cyclops is going to be most people's first choice if you are wanting to see the actual first class.

I voted for Cable because he can get the time travel thing going on so they can try to piece back together the X-Men universe and get the right characters and timeline back.

Well..In keeping in line with the "X-Men The First Class" theme.. I'd vote for having The Blob as a good guy on the team... Or maybe Lockheed could show up..but instead of a dragon he could be a firebreathing girl from an alternate dimension. Oooohh.. How about have iceman as a fetus.. Or Juggernaut..but this time he could be Jamaican.. ...How about they have Charles wake up from a horrible nightmare and it turns out that he only dreamt this movie and X-3.

Forget Intruder guys, he wants it really and he wants it bad. He'd love to drop his pants, stick his pink rump in the air like one of those baboons on Discovery, and get a good First Class pounding until he screams like a girl...

But, hey, listen. It's too early for Cyclops, let's see some other fresh characters then have Cyke, Jean and Storm in the last film in this First Class franchise. This is a chance to see other characters and expand the mythology.

Most of the characters in that poll are not feasible at all, except maybe Dazzler, Cannonball, Thunderbird and Northstar. Even then, Thunderbird doesn't have an amazingly interesting power - he is just stronger and faster than normal people.

Well if the rumor is true and there is a little easter egg cameo of Storm and Cyclops in X-Men: First Class, than they could easily bring in Cyclops in a sequel.

The more I hear, the more I'm leaning towards the fact that X-Men: First Class may end up being a completely new franchise, especially if it makes bank this weekend which I'm pretty sure it will.

Vaughn has already said he's not too caught up in the continuity of the first two X-Men films, and they are completely ignoring The Last Stand and Origins (which they should), so Fox could easily change it up and say this a reboot after it's all said an done.

X-Men and X2 were awesome and nothing can be taken away from those two films, but The Last Stand and Origins left such a bad taste and everyone's mouth that starting new may be the smartest, and easiest, choice.

Cant people see First Class is not a reboot.. That is a prequel.. Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Iceman and Colossus wouldnt be born yet in Second Class movie, if so.. they would be still babies

Does anybody know if they are vern keeping continuity with the first 3 x men? If so then its impossible because Havok would have to be Scotts father and he wouldnt be old enough to be an x men. If theyre starting over then he can be his brother but then Fox will keep its tranglehold on the Xmen contract and they can never joing the Mavel Movieverse. Too much
