Rose Byrne Reveals Whether She Has Been Asked To Return For X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

January Jones recently revealed that 20th Century Fox haven't contacted her about reprising the role of 'Emma Frost' in the sequel to Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. Now Rose Byrne ('Moira MacTaggert') also comments on whether she will return. Check it out!

Our pals over at Hey U Guys managed to catch up with Rose Byrne at the London premiere of I Give It A Year and quizzed her on whether or not she has been asked to return as 'Moira MacTaggert' in X-Men: Days of Future Past. As it turns out, she's yet another cast member from X-Men: First Class who is waiting on a call from Fox. However, while it was a little surprising that January Jones hasn't heard anything, the story arc of Byrne's character was wrapped up pretty neatly after her mind was wiped by Charles Xavier at the close of the movie. For that reason, it perhaps shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the Australian actress may not be back. However, at this stage of production, it's a case of waiting and seeing! Check out the interview below for her comments.

this whole "no call yet" from the First Class actors is starting to piss me off.

The cast and new characters of First Class were really fresh, would be such a bad decision to drop half the cast of the first one

20th Century FOX, time for some announcements yet

Her character was wasted in these movies.

All the X-Men movies were pretty crappy IMO. They made Rogue more of a quiet wimpy recluse other than the confident strong southern belle in the comics. Cyclops was treated like crap. He didn't even seem like a field commander in the movies and he had a horrible death. Magneto looks waaayyy too old and I love Sir Ian but he didn't bring the awe, grandeur, or presence of Magneto to life. Storm sucked in every single way possible. Iceman got treated. Colossus got treated. Didn't even have his Russian accent. Sabretooth looked like a bum...not talking but just grunts and growls...oh and how did he end up looking so different from X-Men Origins Wolverine to some years down the line forgetting how to speak and comb his hair in X-men. So he may not need to comb his hair but the continuity sucks. Oh and wasn't Emma Frost in X-Men Origins Wolverine oh and how old was she by the way because she's in X-Men First Class too. That movie blew, too. Havoc was hoola hooping throughout the movie. Beast's character development sucked. I could go on forever but Bryan Singer needs to leave it alone. He has no balance with his storytelling or character development. I would have rather had James Cameron be involved with these movies.

@MARVELPSYCHO79

would be nice from Fox to finally confirm the return of Havok, Banshee, Moira, Emma and Azazel. To stop this type of articles all over the net

And a new name from the original trilogy wouldnt hurt the hype either

@ScrewGRIFandHisFollowersImGOKU your name confuses me. Part of your name is "I'm Goku" but clearly you're not since you're "ScrewGRIFandHisFollowersImGOKU", which means your name is lying. It's a paradox. Like saying "I'm lying" - you're lying because you're not telling a lie, but that means you're telling the truth because you actually are lying about lying. Paradox!

I like Rose Byrne but she's not an integral part of the franchise. Better than the other Moira though.

Remember all first class actors saying they were looking forward to returning in the sequel? I wish could have told them the bad news then.

"I like Rose Byrne but she's not an integral part of the franchise. Better than the other Moira though."

Hold on they introduced her in THEIR version of First Class so why shouldn't she be back for sequel? She and Xavier seemed to be getting on in THEIR version of FC so why not?

I thought they had this s*** planned from the start. Or are they all at sea again with no paddle?

agree with Ellen.

Im waiting week after week to see if Bryan or someone else confirms Ellen Page return for once and for all.

If she doesnt appear in this right sequel about Days of future past, I'll be really dissapointe, and Im starting to think this will be the case :(
