RUMOR: Hugh Jackman Offered $100M To Reprise WOLVERINE Role For Four More Movies?
Beyond portraying Logan in The Wolverine and 2014's X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Jackman's future as the clawed mutant is uncertain. Now, a rumor claims that he has been offered a whopping $100M to continue playing the character, but he might turn down the four-picture deal.
Few actors have consistently played a certain comic book character as Hugh Jackman has. The Oscar nominated actor has played Wolverine in every single X-Men installment (counting his cameo in 2011's First Class). He recently reprised the role for The Wolverine, and is currently shooting Days Of Future Past (which hits theaters May 23rd, 2014), marking his seventh time donning the iconic claws. Beyond that, however, his future as Logan has been unclear. He hinted at potentially retiring in the near future, but also said that he was still greatly enjoying playing the character. Now, a report from National Enquirer claims that Jackman has been offered a colossal $100M deal to reprise the Wolverine role for four more movies. However, there's a good possibility that he will turn it down, as he is unsure about signing long-term deals. A "close pal" insider tells the site, "Hugh has a big decision to make. It’s not every day an actor gets offered this kind of paycheck, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multipicture deals after ‘X-Men.’ He hasn’t given any kind of answer yet, so at least he’s considering it." As this news hasn't been officially confirmed in any way, take it with a pinch of salt for the time being. Do you want to see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine yet again?
