BOX OFFICE: Early Tracking Already Points To An Impressive $60 Million Opening For LOGAN

There's still around two weeks to go until Logan reaches theaters, but early box office tracking already points to the R-Rated release being another hit for Fox. Find all the latest figures right here!

Early tracking data for Logan has been revealed by The Wrap, and as of right now, the movie looks set to debut in North America with $55 million to $60 million. That's a solid number for the R-Rated release, and a figure which could very well go up over the next couple of weeks as Fox really pushes the boat out in terms of marketing.

Back in 2009, X-Men Origins: Wolverine scored $85 million, while The Wolverine would gross $53 million in 2013. Given Logan's rating and the poor performance of X-Men: Apocalypse last year, the fact that Hugh Jackman's final appearance as Wolverine is going to do this well is impressive, especially as it's opening in March instead of the summer like its two predecessors.

Unfortunately, Logan may not end up having legs in the long run due to the fact that Kong: Skull Island opens the following week. That's then followed by Beauty and the Beast, a film the site says will "crush" the X-Men spinoff by the time it reaches its third weekend.

We'll have to wait and see how it does, but for now, share your thoughts on this news below.

I would say 55-60 mil is about right. If reviews are sweet, it should be more.
