K I'll talk. I want to know why the dialogue released from the beginning of Logan has him referencing the Statue of Liberty events from X1. He shouldn't remember that. Since it didn't happen in this timeline. They said this movie takes place after the happy ending in Days of Future past. Not the Wolverine. Fox fudged up. They need a Feige over there at Fox.

@WYLEEJAY - I didn't notice the X1 reference. You could say that Professor X put some memories in his head after days of future past, when wolverine said they need to talk. That being said the X-Films have such a screwed up continuity its not even worth trying to connect them anymore. It needs a full reboot.

@SexyMatt - And now their claiming Logan is stand alone and not even connected to ANY of the films. WTF?

@WYLEEJAY - Just read that. uhg! I almost take each x-men movie as it's own thing at this point

@WYLEEJAY - Xavier looked through Logan's memories in DOFP. That's why he didn't put psychic blocks on Jean in Apocalypse.

@StanLee - Bad excuse. Referencing the stuff from X1 just makes it more convoluted. Besides, the only way First Class, DOFP, Apocalypse and Deadpool make sense, is if you just say First Class was a reboot, and forget you ever seen Origins, X1,X2,X3 and The Wolverine. The DOFP future scenes were just there as a going away for the original actors. Basically, if somebody only watched the newer movies, they would just accept what they're told, and that was just a possible future. I guess now that Logan is its own thing, that means no story shackles for a sequel to Apocalypse. They can do whatever they want.

If Logan is an elseworlds tale now, then they can do whatever they want to, so my complaint earlier about the dialogue no longer even matters.

@StanLee - But if it wasn't an elseworlds tale, and First Class wasn't a reboot, then I'm wrong. Because when Logans future consciousness, left his younger body, and returned to his older body, he would in fact remember everything from all the previous movies. So only him and Charles would know these things. So as badly as I want to say First Class was a reboot and ignore the writers, directors, producers and actors that say differently, that line of dialogue from Logan makes it impossible to argue my point now. So I lose.

But now Logan isn't connected to anything. My head hurts...

@WYLEEJAY - I'm almost certain it's stated in DOFP that Wolverine is the only one who remembers both timelines (X1-3 and then what happens in DOFP past/future). Since he was in both parts his mind was still only filled with the X1-3 to future DOFP canon, that's why when he sees the Professor in the new future of DOFP the Professor says something like "we've got a lot to catch up on".

So if anything Xavier shouldn't be aware of the Statue of Liberty, but Logan certainly is. Logan is unaware of the time period from when he left the DOFP past to when he wakes up in the DOFP future.

All that being said, the timelines are silly and it's dumb to even try and make sense of them anymore. I just take every movie for what it is, there's no point in trying to connect the films. If anything the only base to use is First Class to Apocalypse and the new future of DOFP. Everything else is now essentially non-canon and doesn't matter.

@mkilban2 - edit: I also see you've come to the same conclusion in your comment above lol.
