Upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series, The Acolyte, has made an exciting new addition to its cast, with Logan and His Dark Materials star Dafne Keen set to take a trip to the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Jeff Sneider (via SFFGazette.com) broke the news on the latest episode of The Hot Mic with Jeff and John podcast, but didn't share any details on her role.

Keen made a big impact as Laura, aka X-23, in James Mangold's Logan, and there is still a lot of support for the young actress to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. With Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine for Deadpool 3, it certainly isn't outside the realm of possibility, but who knows when/if Marvel Studios will even decide to revisit the character.

The now 17-year-old actress previously revealed that 20th Century Fox was planning a solo X-23 movie, but the prospective project obviously fell by the wayside after the Disney merger.

Bodies Bodies Bodies star Amandla Stenberg is set to lead The Acolyte, with Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim, Without Remorse, Anne Boleyn) also on board.

We still don't know very much about this show, but it has been described as "a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era." Official plot details have not been shared beyond that, but there have been plenty of rumors!

One report claims that Emperor Palpatine's Master, Darth Plagueis, will factor into the story in some capacity, maybe even as the Acolyte of the title. Palpatine himself is unlikely to appear since the show is set long before he came to power, but based on everything we've heard so far, the show will primarily focus on the Dark Side of the Force and the eventual emergence of The Sith.

Production is now underway in London.
