According to Deadline, Twentieth Century Fox has begun negotiations with James Mangold to return to direct a follow up to The Wolverine, with Hugh Jackman on board to reprise the titular character for an unprecedented seventh time. We had assumed that Jackman's role in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past might mark the actor's final appearance as the adamantium enhanced mutant, but that was before The Wolverine did so well at the Box Office -- the movie currently sits on $413 million worldwide. The story it would follow is said to be under wraps, but apparently Mangold is making a deal to write the treatment, with Lauren Shuler Donner producing. Most fans were very happy with The Wolverine, so I can't see too many having a problem with this news.
