THE WOLVERINE Concept Poster Resurfaces Officially

Although not likely to be used in the film's marketing, as FOX noted, The Wolverine concept poster that was first revealed four months ago has now resurfaced in high-resolution!

Although production on the X-Men Origins sequel is finally kicking off, a mysterious blurry poster hit the net amid The Wolverine's rocky development earlier this year. And despite Fox dubbing it a "concept design," implying that it won't be used for the sequel's marketing, the poster has resurfaced in its original quality via Cine 1.



Starring Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova, directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2013.

"Rising Soon" is a reference to the Rising Sun Flag Of Imperial Japan. Let's just be glad "Rising" isn't in the title.

@JerBear What do you mean it doesn't make sense? The film takes place in Japan and 20th Century Fox has made a big deal over that. It's a significant location in Wolverine's mythos. And a recent article on the main page describes a WWII set. Plus, don't you think "Clawing Soon" sounds a bit cheesy? This isn't A Nightmare On Elm Street Freddy Kruger film, ya know.

Oh, wow, I figured that poster was legit. It's nice to see it in much better quality.

I love how the title looks like calligraphy.

Yah, the "Rising Soon" tagline is play a on rising sun, because Japan is known as The Land of the Rising Sun.

i would have thought after the awful origins movie marvel would give up but nooo wolverine being there top mutant gets more chances.
this new movie can not be worse than origins please.
even though i tend to take the marvel mutants at face value i was never overly keen on them.
marvel realy need to bring out some of there other heroes and get them onto the silver screen, silver surfer, steven strange, iron fist, howard the duck, and franklin richards all i think deserve time :)

Wolverine was my favorite as a kid. I don't have high hopes for this, but please let this be good.

Well rising soon is fitting since the last film was pretty lame. So in a way this attempt is rising from the dead.

My hopes are it is as dirty and realistic as it should be. If it gets an R rating because slashing a couple of guys apendages off is grtesque I can accept. I want Wolvie's claws to do what they did in the Wolverine Origins video game.
