The last time we saw Beast was in Dark Phoenix last summer. Even though the reception for that movie was subpar, most can say Nicholas Hoult did a solid job as Hank McCoy/Beast. Not just in that movie, but First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse as well.
Recently, he shared his viewpoint on Beast with Variety, and here's what he had to say about it...
"That was a fun evolution and that's something that I'm always looking for is how a character changes. And I think there's a lot more to explore with that character," Hoult said while promoting his new Hulu series The Great.
He continued. "So I'd be interested to know where they see it going next."
There's no telling when Kevin Feige plans to introduce the X-Men in his cinematic universe, let alone Beast himself. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see what avenues the character can go that wasn't shown in the FOX X-Men films. Actually, Hoult isn't the only Beast actor who's said something like this.
Kelsey Grammer said back in 2016 that his Beast was underused, and would love to play the character again. Grammer was also heavily praised for his performance in X-Men: The Last Stand, and rightfully so.
