The full trailer for X3: The Last Stand is likely to hit theaters and the Web in mid-March, according to The XVerse.
Screenwriter Simon Kinberg said he and Zak Penn have looked at the trailer and "I can tell you, if you dug the teaser, you’re gonna flip out for the next trailer."
Meanwhile, director Brett Ratner is loyal to the X-Men material, he says. "Ever since I was a small kid I read comic books. Directing X-Men 3 is a dream come true! [Former director Bryan] Singer set the standards very high. It will be a huge challenge for me. But I am confident because of the excellent script I was given," according to Channel 4.
Kinberg said of Ratner: "Brett starts from a love of the comics. He's got an immense respect for the X-Men universe. He's also got a lot of respect for Bryan's films, so he's not trying to create a radically different template. He's staying loyal to the tone of the first two films, but he's making this movie more visceral and emotional."
And Singer added: "I've talked with the director, he's a good friend of mine. Brett Ratner and I've spent some time with the actors and they sound really positive about it. I'm looking forward to it."
