Though there is some new footage of Mystique in this latest X-Men: Apocalypse promo, the coolest new shots belong to Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and a glimpse of the team in their updated outfits that was previously teased with a screencap a while ago.

There were critics screenings of the movie last night, and although full reviews are embargoed until Monday, we should get some early reactions at some point today.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 18.

@RorMachine - I think the issue is, as shown in this trailer anyway, she has a 'resting bland face' where her face kind of resets to not showing any emotion - which comes off as contrasting when compared to her delivering emotional lines.

When most the time she's on screen here she's doing this face;

._.

Its kind of a 'dull suprise' look. Its easy to tell why some people may have an issue. Personally i think its just a case of some awkward directing rather than anything else, given that multiple characters seem to be doing it.

For someone who can transform into anyone and likes to say "Mutant and proud!", she really likes to stay blonde most of the time.
