The Team Battles Slow Broadband Speeds In Awesome X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Promo Video

Captain America: Civil War may be dominating headlines right now, but X-Men: Apocalypse is also right around the corner, and we have a very cool new promotional advetisement to remind us of that. Highlighting Sky's broadband services, it features many key members of the X-Men as Quicksilver has some fun at their expense in order to impress a girl (not that it goes too well for him). It seems a fair bit of money was spent here, and it looks great. Hopefully that CinemaCon trailer will follow shortly...

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016. What do you guys think of this tie-in promo for the movie? Sound off below...

Pretty good ad. Way better than the Hardy's ad from last time. Quicksilver is my most anticipated part of Apocalypse.

The film looks good but that video was... awkwardly bad. And using this song did nothing but remind me of the "better" Marvel.

@riseofloganX36 - The video was just bad, dude. Awkwardly shot. Using a song from GOTG doesn't help it either.

@CopperCrow - Also, APPARENTLY, Cyclop's blast are not concussive anymore. Looks like they made them heat based.

"Cyclops emits beams of energy from his eyes, described as "optic blasts", which have the appearance of red light and deliver massive concussive force. The beams cause no recoil or heat, but are tremendously powerful, and can be used to rupture steel plates and pulverize rock."
