Rob Liefeld Reveals New Details Concerning MARVEL's Shut-Out of FOX

With rumors of Fantastic Four comics being cancelled to hurt the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, Marvel seems to be doing something similar with X-Men in an effort to hurt FOX's revenue from the films.

It seems as though rumors concerning the FOX shut-out courtesy of Marvel are true for the X-Men as well, though in a different field. The X-Men comics are some of the highest selling Marvel series being published so their cancellation is out of the question, but if Rob Liefeld is to be believed, they could be doing something else to hurt the X-Men films.

Here is what Liefled had to say on the subject:

There you have it folks! While some may question why Rob Liefeld has any right to say anything, it should be noted he's been involved with the previously announced X-Force film, him knowing some of the inner workings of the studio may not be totally out of the question.

Mrcool, haw!

Meanwhile... Is liefeld a reliable source? Hasn't he made stuff up before just to appear in the know?

Has the X-Men movies ever had toys tie-in? I can't seem to recall.

First of all, where is your source? Second of all, this sounds like bs. Marvel wouldn't do something this stupid. X-Men AND The Fantastic 4 are high selling comic books. If Marvel were to do that, they would lose A LOT of money. Plus Marvel is still represented somewhat in Fox's movies (hence the MARVEL logo).

@ruadh

Well he's apparently working with them on the X-Force film so I'd say he probably knows some inside stuff were aren't privy to.

@Stingy

FF was a high selling comic. GOTG sells more comics that FF nowadays.

I hate to say it, but its a business. Why would marvel make DOFP toys? Promoting something they will get nothing out of. Toy sales don't even come close to box office sales, so FOX would no doubt be taking the most benefit if marvel made their toys.

It says they're not making DOFP toys, but they will no doubt continue to make marvel comics xmen toys. That makes sense

Speaking of X-Force.

I hope X-Force, in some way, reboots the character of Wolverine.

With Thomas Jane as the character.

That was before ASM2 failed to even reach the numbers of the first one after being in theaters for well over a month, and nearly towards the end of its theatrical run.

There is a Marvel Select DOTFP Mystique figure coming out, and they just recently released "The Wolverine" Logan.

This article is bullshit.

Makes sense. Why did you think only the MCU properties in Lego Marvel Superheroes had movie costumes whereas X-Men & Spider-Man had their comic versions.
