I just saw it and thought it was awesome. It was an order of magnitude better than the other X-Men movies.

@marvel72... It was a great movie man. It's just the continuity flaws that bugs me. I widh they'd just come out and say it was a reboot. But then, why not use the original first class if it is in fact a reboot.

I had an inkling that it would be good all along.. This is why jumping to conclusions is never a good idea.

@Marvel72 you don't have to accept the fact that its a great film, but you can't deny the public response it's getting. When you do it just makes you sound bitter about being wrong.

@ megabatfan

did you see some of their reactions.

-better than the dark knight.

-12.6/10 rating really,i haven't seen one cbm in my life that i would score 5/5 or 10/10.

@ p862010

nice one, thanks for letting me know.

@ patriautism

look i'm waiting for a chance to see the movie myself, but i'm in no rush.

it may be a great film to you & everyone else, but i have problems with the changes they've made to the film concerning the source.

the line up they've chosen only three of the line up intrest me at all.

don't get me wrong,i think it'll have its moments but thats it.

@ marvel...greater than The Dark Knight - NOT!!! It was a good movie, really pulled me into the characters. Mainly Prof X & Magneto...But to say its better than or up there with TDK...Nawww, i don't think so. I will say that I enjoyed it more than i did Thor. But I'm not taking anything away from Thor when I say that

I saw it last night and completely enjoyed it, and as far as i am concerned, it is a reboot, despite the cameos and continuity. I'm hoping that from here they can pull away from the first 3 and Origins and become it's own franchise, how likely that is, especially as they keep bringing Bryan Singer back, i don't know.

Wouldn't say better than the Dark Knight, but it's a different type of film.

I don't see why it's hard for people to grasp it's a really great movie. The Dark Knight was a really great movie....even though it wasn't the perfect adaption. Somehow people seem to glance over that fact...Dark Knight didn't follow a panel for panel of Batman, this didn't follow panel for panel of X-Men. Vaughn made a really great FILM.

@marvel72 Yeah they did change a lot, but remember, so do a lot of CBM.. Take the new Batman series for instance, it's amazing but almost nothing like the source..

Sometimes change is a good thing, like when pants were invented...

Just returned from this movie. I thought it was great. Once the fanatics (and I guess I am one as I bring this up) put aside that they continue to mix characters that didn't exist together in the books - they will be please with this one. Lots of connections that stay true tothe story line that has been set up plus the books. Even better this will work as a stand alone as well making it enjoyable for the non comic viewer. I saw Thor and wasn't carried away even though it was a good movie (good enough to see twice). This one had me engaged the whole movie and the friend I went with who did not grow up reading comics. Really good movie!

Most important! Don't sit through the credits. Nothing special in this one. So if you have a chance to hit last call or stay in theater get moving. I have been conditioned (along with about 30 others in the theater) and sat and sat and ... well you get the point. Unless our projectionist cheated us in order to hit last call :( there is nothing there

This was a pretty good movie. I don't think it'll make as much as Wolverine did unfortunately. Its better than Wolverine by far, and is better than X3. But, it doesn't quite top X2. None will.

btw-WOLVERINE'S CAMEO AS [frick]ING HILARIOUS!

@WittySupername The Dark Knight is far more unlike it's source than First Class.

is that HAVOC shakin his bon bons for his powers?? yeah..i gotta agree that's pretty SILLY lookin'. why can't they figure out on a much cooler way to summon one's power.

and Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy?? he's way too PUNY. McCoy's supposed to be this pudgy, big-boned and muscular genius guy, right? Hoult is just too lanky and feminine looking. i've been hearing he's now Bryan Singer's current "favorite" actor, is he also his BOY TOY???

for me, as great as he is as Magneto, i wish Fassbender would've waited and takes over the Batman role after Bale's time is up. i just see him as a VERY cool Bruce Wayne AND Batman.
