Remember a little while back when I came across a report that claimed the British singer turned actress was up for a role as "...a femme fatale baddie" in the upcoming prequel/reboot/mess? If not, you can find that story HERE but read on to hear what Harding herself had to say about very nearly starring in the movie as well as the surprising news that she was up for a major role!

"I got called back three times for 'X-Men' but I missed out on the part to January Jones which was fine, she's a more established actress, but I was pleased to have got that far down the line."

I've not seen Hardy in anything but I am a little surprised that she was up for a major role like Emma Frost! Are you disappointed that she wont star in the movie? Are you even more disappointed by the fact we wont get to see her in the comic book characters sexy outfit? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 3, 2011!
