Better late than never, right? After an extremely busy week that saw us cross paths with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, Lionsgate closed out the show with a very cool slate that included promising titles such as Robin Hood, Uncle Drew, The Spy Who Dumped Me, Blindspotting, A Simple Favor, and more.

The Kingkiller Chronicle
Lionsgate got the ball rolling by announcing that Sam Raimi, director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, is set to helm the first installment in the studio's next franchise: The Kingkiller Chronicle. Lin-Manuel Miranda, whose past accolades include a Pulitzer Prize, three Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a MacArthur Fellowship, and three Tony Awards is also onboard as a producer.
A production start date wasn't given, but the story follows adventurer and musician Kvothe, a man who survives a tragic childhood to become a notorious household name.
Uncle Drew
Lil Rel Howery, who was also hosting the presentatino, took the stage next to debut an extended look and a much funnier new theatrical trailer for his upcoming basketball comedy, Uncle Drew, which stars Boston Celtics all-star Kyrie Irving in the title role. While none of the cast was present due to NBA Playoffs-related commitments, Howery did share a few funny stories from his time on-set, including his experience working with Kyrie the day he was traded from Cleveland to Boston.
In addition to Irving and Howery, the comedy also stars Shaquille O'Neal, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber, Nate Robinson, Lisa Leslie, Nick Kroll, Erica Ash, Tiffany Haddish, JB Smoove, Mike Epps, and Aaron Gordon. Look for it theaters on June 29 and be sure to watch the new theatrical trailer above.
The Spy Who Dumped Me
Lionsgate was gracious enough to allow us to attend their red carpet where we got to chat with both Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon, the lovely stars of the upcoming summer action/comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me.
Following the intense presentation from Blindspotting, Lionsgate brought out Kunis and McKinnon to lighten the mood with a funny routine where Kunis described their film while McKinnon acted out the descriptions in hilarious fashion. They then shared a new theatrical trailer for their upcoming August comedy, which featured plenty of hysterical new moments as Kunis and McKinnon find themselves in the adventure of a lifetime.
The new trailer hasn't made its way online just yet, but expect it sooner than later, especially considering the film is due out in August.
Hell Fest
Lionsgate then launched the first horrifying trailer for Hell Fest, which follows a group of unsuspecting teenagers (college students?) that find themselves in for the night of their lives when they enter a haunted house that features a real-life killer hidden within. The trailer features most of your classic horror beats as the group doesn't realize at first that the murders are real, but then when they do, it may be a little too late.
The movie is due out on October 12, so expect a trailer sometime this summer.
Hunter Killer
Gerard Butler sent in a pre-recorded message to preview his upcoming action/thriller Hunter Killer, which is based on the 2012 novel Firing Point. Butler previews the movie by describing it as the next great submarine movie, a really smart movie that will keep the audiences guessing from start-to-finish.
In addition to Butler, the cast also features Academy Award-winner Gary Oldman, Common, Toby Stephens, Linda Cardellini, Michael Trucco, Ryan McPartlin, and the late Michael Nyqvist in his final film role.
