RAMPAGE Star Dwayne Johnson Spills The Beans On His Feud With GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Actor Vin Diesel

There have been rumblings for a long time that Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have some sort of beef and the former has now confirmed that there's a very real issue between the two. While The Fate of the Furious featured one key scene between their characters Hobbs and Dom Toretto, the wrestler turned actor has confirmed that they didn't actually shoot that or any other sequences together.

"That is correct. We were not in any scenes together," Johnson explained. "Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not."

That just goes to show what editing trickery is capable of achieving during the post-production process and Johnson went on to confirm that he's currently unsure about whether he'll return for Fast 9.
"Right now I’m concentrating on making the [Fast and Furious' Hobbs and Shaw] spinoff as good as it can be," he added. "I wish [Diesel] all the best and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity."
An argument could be made that the Fast and Furious franchise needs Johnson more than he needs it and if this spinoff takes off, then the former WWE Superstar will have a whole new franchise to call his own. Still, it looks like we can forget about Johnson ever joining the Guardians of the Galaxy (not that it was on the cards anyway). What do you think about these remarks? Let us know in the usual place.

Hobbs and Shaw made Furious 8. They stole the whole show. Could have really been a boring mess with them. I would say the franchise needs The Rock more than the other way around is a very accurate statement.

Someone in a previous comments section said that The Rock has a big head after reading this. Can someone tell me what in this article suggests that? Just because Vin's approach to acting isn't the same as his, how does that suggest ego? I imagine if I were a big name actress and I was in a film costarring Jared Leto, I wouldn't want to be on set with him. Especially if he played a serial killer or something.

@SisterSunday52 - The roles that actors play isn't a reflection of themselves. Just because someone plays the part of a serial killer, doesn't mean they are one. I don't understand your logic here.

I've always understood Dwayne as a pretty humble guy, and fools around a lot, which could make some people believe he has an ego. As far as him and Vin go, some people just don't have compatible personalities. Simple as that.

I have enjoyed the F&F films, but during the last one I was looking at the time a bit. Kind of miss the simplicity of the first one when I was in College.

I look forward to The Rock's movies as they are fun and he certainly brings his charisma and charm to each role. Jumanji 2 was a good ride , and kind of makes you wish he was playing a good Superhero. Although he did do well in Faster which was a good dramatic role for him.

I really don't give a shit about the Fast & Furious movies, but speaking of The Rock, I just saw the new Jumanji and I regret not seeing it in theaters. It was pretty damn good.

I hear more and more that Dwayne Johnson is an ass behind the scenes as he was in wrestling behind the scenes as his fame grew.

So who would you cast The Rock as in the MCU?
My choice is Gladiator:

@noahthegrand - Even go full-in on the wrestling move aspect since his strength is based on his confidence. Imagine Johnson knocking Carol flat in front of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, then while she's regaining her bearings, he's walking around working the crowd.

@noahthegrand - Ooo....I pretty much hate all the fan casting I see on here (because lets face it, most people on here are morons..'specially those that like Tyrese or T.I).

But this one? Yeah....make this one happen
