THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. Opens on November 22, 2013.

Just didn't like that "go ahead" scene. Totally ruined the whole trailer. Snow's scenes are gonna be the best, just like in the book.

Looks pretty awesome. Hope it lives up to the book, it's the best in the trilogy.

@ArthurNumeriano
I don't see how. Especially with the way things are - it'd be a relief for her to just end it. By Mockingjay, she's almost suicidal.

@Peter I sat through that filth.... there was no third trailer, Cavill wasn't there. It was all about the Zod threat, I'm so annoyed right now sigh

Interesting. The whole revelution of the districts wasn't the main focus per say of the book, so I'm surprised they're going this route.

@Shara184 My sincere condolences for you having to sit the the Awards Show. I feel you about MOS though. The Zod threat was cute, but I feel punked! Maybe something within the next 24 hours, I hope!

I hate to be a troll but I gotta say I was totally unimpressed by this movie. I went in with low expectations from the previews I had seen and was still disappointed.......just a big meh.

@Tainted87 I know, I've read the books. I just didn't like the way the line was said and the way it was put in the trailer. Just didn't fit, although the line and the scene make total sense.

Never thought I'd say that, but this looks amazing.

First film was horrible, but the second one is made by entirely new crew, so I think it's gonna work.

Hmm... love the books, and I enjoyed the first movie, but this trailer doesn't quite live up to my expectations. Hopefully the final product will be great! (and not as shaky as the first one)

Hi. I came here to say I'm not a fan of the series instead of ignoring this thread. I'm an idiot lol

Anyway, the first one was good enough to get me interested in a sequel. I'll check it out.

A creepy but relevant scene. I would have liked a less creepy scene--maybe a scene involving Johanna and Finnick.

Interesting that they showed nothing from the film's final third. I wonder how long they can keep that a secret from the GA, since (and I'm not really spoiling anything here) that's where most of the story's action scenes take place.

BTW, I'd have to agree that the first movie doesn't stand so well on its own -- works better as a complement to the book, rather than as a replacement of it. Movie by itself: 7 out of 10. As an accompaniment to the book: 8.5.
