Lionsgate Releases The First Official Synopsis For JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO
John Wick is back! Lionsgate has released the first official synopsis for his upcoming sequel, providing us with some information on what brings Keanu Reeves' former assassin out of retirement again.
"People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer, but yeah, I'm thinking I'm back."
John Wick was easily one of the best received films of 2014 and that makes its upcoming sequel - John Wick: Chapter Two - one of the more hotly anticipated films of 2017. Lionsgate has just released the first official synopsis for the Chad Stahelski-directed film giving us a few vague details on what brings the legendary assassin out of retirement a second time. Keanu Reeves returns in the sequel to the 2014 hit as legendary hitman John Wick who is forced to back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers. Lionsgate’s “John Wick: Chapter 2” arriving in theaters on February 10, 2017.
Keanu Reeves will return as the titular assassin with Bridget Moynahan (Blue Bloods), Ian McShane (Game Of Thrones), John Leguizamo (Sisters), Lance Reddick (Bosch), and Thomas Sadoski (Wild) also reprising their roles from the original film. Newcomers include Common (Suicide Squad) as the film's villain, Ruby Rose (xXx 3), Riccardo Scamarcio (Burnt), Peter Stormare (Fargo), and Laurence Fishburne (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).
