Mark Millar Praises Matthew Vaughn's Take On THE SECRET SERVICE

Matthew Vaughn decided to pass on the opportunity to helm X-Men: Days of Future Past in order to bring Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons' The Secret Service to the big screen. He obviously saw something special in the brilliant Millarworld series, and judging from the below comments made by Millar via his Twitter account, the movie is already shaping up to be something very good indeed. Colin Firth is attached to play 'Uncle Jack', while Leonardo DiCaprio is rumoured to be in the running to play the villain. With a list of candidates for 'Gary' which includes the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Boyega, there's no denying that The Secret Service has the potential to be THE best comic book movie of 2014. As for what the other Millarworld movie adaptation could be, here's hoping that we're about to get some news on Supercrooks or Nemesis!

Baloney!!!

Millar is a nice guy, but QUIT PROMOTING YOURSELF!!!

I'm SO sick of this guy putting his name/self on everything!

We get it, you're an original, write your own material

Relax, mark...

The fact that he himself calls it "Millarworld" screams douche. Love his books but jeez. Never hear Joss call it "The Whedonverse"...although he could.

@YoungThanos You're right, the last thing he said was we should be hearing news on FOX Marvel movies very soon...that was a couple of months ago.lol

I would be a bit surprised if Dicaprio accepts to be on this proyect.

For some weird reason, I dont see him interested in a comicbook movie, even if it has Colin Firth. And at the same time, Matthew Vaugh-Dicaprio feels like an unexpected collab too.

But lets see what happens

Cant get over that they chose Firth over Jason Isaacs for the lead role.

I mean Firth is great actor and all but Isaacs is true badass.
