Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's impressive run continues as it remains a top 2 film for the fourth week in a row. The critically acclaimed Chris McQuarrie-directed action sequel finished #2 to F. Gary Gray's biopic Straight Outta Compton after raking in approximately $11.7 million over the weekend, bringing its domestic total to over $157 million. Overseas, Tom Cruise and the IMF continued to dominate, pulling in between $25.2 million, possibly more, and raised its overseas total to over $280 million. Its worldwide total gross currently stands at over $438 million with releases in Greece & China still on the way. Also, considering the previous installment, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, collected over $100 million in China back in 2011, the Chinese release should bode well for Cruise & company.

Speaking of China, Paramount's other major release this summer, the sci-fi sequel Terminator: Genisys finally debuted there over the weekend and had a huge opening day. The Emilia Clarke-starrer opened to $27.4 million Sunday, which is actually bigger than its entire North American opening weekend, and also the fourth biggest opening day ever for a U.S. film in China, following Furious 7, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, & Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Its worldwide total currently stands at over $353 million. Elsewhere, 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four continued its unfortunate descent into oblivion. Click HERE for more details!

Additionally, Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. earned $7.4 million domestically and $8 million overseas, bringing its worldwide sum to over $52 million. Universal's Jurassic World extended its solid run in Japan with $5.7 million; its monstrous worldwide gross currently stands at over 1.62 billion. Meanwhile, Marvel's Ant-Man continued to perform well with over $4 million stateside and $2.9 million overseas; its total worldwide gross stands at over $361 million. The Paul Rudd-starrer also has big releases in Austria, South Korea, Greece, China & Japan coming up.

Lastly, all three newcomers didn't manage to make much of a dent at the U.S. box office. Sinister 2 finished #3 with $10.2 million, Hitman: Agent 47 finished #4 with $8.2 million, and American Ultra finished #6 with $5.5 million.

With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will feature:
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
Jeremy Renner as William Brandt
Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn
Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust
Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley
Sean Harris as Solomon Lane
Simon McBurney as Attlee
Zhang Jingchu as Lauren
Jens Hultén as Janik "Bone Doctor" Vinter
Tom Hollander as the Prime Minister
America Olivo as Turandot
Hermione Corfield as Record Shop Girl

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation has lit the fuse and is out everywhere NOW!

Genisys is better than I expected. But it'll never compete with T or T2.

I'm happy Terminator Genysis is doing good in China, its a good movie, not as good as T2 but for people to say its worse then T3 and Terminator Salvation is just wrong. Can't wait to see it again on DVD and hey if another one is coming out, bring it on.
