Christopher McQuarrie Reveals That GENIUS Composer Lorne Balfe Will Score MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT

While Mission: Impossible - Fallout is bucking tradition by keeping the same director, it looks like it will continue its tradition of swapping out composers as Lorne Balfe has been confirmed to score.

In an impromptu Twitter Q&A yesteday, director Chris McQuarrie revealed that 2x Primetime Emmy-nominated composer Lorne Balfe has been tasked with scoring duties on Tom Cruise's highly-anticipated action sequel, Mission: Impossible - Fallout

With his addition now official, Balfe will find himself with some pretty big shoes to fill as he takes the reins from Joe Kraemer, who scored 2015's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and delivered arguably the best soundtrack in the franchise's history.

Balfe is best known for scoring Terminator: Genisys, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Genius, The Florida Project, and Pacific Rim: Uprising. He also frequently collaborates with Academy Award-winner Hans Zimmer, having worked alongside him on the scores for Sherlock Holmes, Megamind, The Dilemma, and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

On another note, Entertainment Weekly has debuted a new still from the movie, which you can see in the teaser image above.
