While some were able to catch an early look over the weekend due to an unexpected leak, Paramount has now officially released the teaser trailer for Tom Cruise's highly-anticipated Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, which will see the 3x Academy Award-nominated star reprise his role as Ethan Hunt and embark on his most harrowing journey yet.

The footage initially debuted during CinemaCon last month, and it's very much a teaser as we only get snippets of scattered footage featuring some familiar faces as well as plenty of new ones, including Avengers: Endgame star Hayley Atwell. Still, this sneak peek does its job by giving us just a little preview of what we can expect next summer.

The trailer will be attached to screenings of Top Gun: Maverick this week, so if you want to catch it on the biggest screens imaginable, be sure to check out the critically acclaimed Tom Cruise vehicle as soon as possible!

Check out the official teaser trailer below:

In addition to Cruise as the headliner, the highly anticipated McQ-directed action blockbuster will also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow, Frederick Schmidt as Zola, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.

Newcomers to the franchise include the aforementioned Hayley Atwell (Avengers: EndgameCaptain America: The First Avenger) as Grace, Shea Whigham (Perry Mason; Marvel's Agent Carter), Pom Klementieff (Avengers: Endgame; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Esai Morales (TitansLa Bamba), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2Hobbs & Shaw), Cary Elwes (The Princess BrideSaw), Indira Varma (Game of ThronesCarnival Row), Mark Gatiss (The FatherThe Favourite), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: MaverickTransformers: Age of Extinction), and Greg Tarzan Davis (Top Gun: MaverickGrey's Anatomy).

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One lights the fuse in theaters on July 14, 2023; with the expected franchise finale, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, set to arrive the following year on June 28, 2024.

Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby... damn... Beautiful women appreciation aside, movie looks great. Just the trailer is more exciting than a lot of stuff released nowadays.

Not looking forward to the inevitable cliffhanger ending, but it looks like they’re going all out with the last movies.

After the M:I franchise comes to an end, James Bond will be the only spy film franchise left.

@mgeoff88 - Yes dude, I hate cliffhanger endings for movies too. I still hope they‘ll eventually go the Avengers 3 route. Get rid of the “Part 1“/“Part 2“ parts of the title, get them standalone subtitles and make them standalone story wise even though 8‘s story follows where 7 leaves of. Like Rogue Nation and Fallout.

@mgeoff88 - it's not that they don't want to make more movies, it's that they can't find an actor who will do 90% of their own stunts, like Cruise.

This franchise is on its way to be 30 years old, always with the same lead carrying it, that's insane.
Lets ignoring his personal life, Tom Cruise is a freaking legend.

FUCCCCCCCCCCCK YAHHHHHHHHHHH BABY!!!!

This looks dope as hell. Easily, my favorite franchise of all time. I’m sad that this is the beginning of the end but Cruise is getting old so it’s a long time coming. It’s impressive as hell that he’s been doing this for as long as he has anyways.

Still incredibly bummed we have to wait a whole year for this but
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

CAN'T WAIT!

Is Tom Cruise digitally de-aged or is it me?
