Critics are calling The Expendables 3 "repetitive", "lazy" and "awful" which is unfortunately a fairly accurate summation of Stallone's latest effort. Though there are some minor redeeming qualities EX3 gives you little reason to hit the cinema this weekend. This movie was fantastic. It fits the style of the trilogy, the new characters are great. Snipes in particular is a great addition, and he brings his subtle style of crazy to the movie. Mel Gibson makes a terrific villain, and his monologue on the plane with Ross and others, is chilling and brilliantly delivered.

The only complaint I have about this movie, is the final fight with Ross and Stonebanks. It was too short, and I was hoping for a little more martial arts flare from Gibson.

Overall, fantastic movie, best of the trilogy.

The characters this time around are done better than the last two. I also like how they had the most crazy body count I ever seen in a movie (too bad it wasn't rated R).

Other than that, the movie is whatever. Still a entertaining action flick, even if they are ruining the action genre by making a parody of it with good intentions.

The movie leaked about 3 weeks ago online. There's DVD quality torrents out there, that's how I saw it two weeks ago. DO IT.

Mel and stallone fight had to be less then a minute long.... seriously
The big final action sequence had tanks, helicopters, they went all out on that part..

None of the Expendables are great movies, but I thought the 3rd one was the most fun by far. Two was awful.

I liked the first two for what they were. It's a shame Bruce Willis didn't come back. Though I hear he's a dbag. Oh well, Die Hard is still my favorite action movie ever.

I could be wrong, but I thought that Stallone had said he had considered making Expendables 1 and 2 PG-13, but the studio wasn't confident that it would have enough appeal, so they tacked on blood effects and a few f-words in post-production. And then with this one, he finally convinced them that PG-13 was the way to go.
Haven't seen it yet, but I thought the idea was to make an action movie that everyone could enjoy, not just adults.

Either way, I thought the first one was kinda boring, but the second one was fun. Cheesy, but fun. So I want to see this one.
