After a short run in theaters, The Fall Guy is now available to purchase on Digital HD with a never-before-seen Extended Cut that features an addiitonal 20 minutes of action-packed new footage from the David Leitch-directed actioner, which stars 3x Academy Award-nominee Ryan Gosling (The Nice Guys; Blade Runner 2049; La La Land) and Academy Award-nominee Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow; The Devil Wears Prada; The Adjustment Bureau) in the lead roles.

The Fall Guy was one of the best received movies of the year, boasting an 82% Certified Fresh rating and an 87% Audience Score on review aggregator RottenTomatoes. However, the warm word of mouth didn't exactly translate to box office success as, to date, it has only grossed over $127.4 million worldwide on its estimated $150 million production budget, likely resulting in Universal fast tracking the film's digital launch.

In addition to Gosling and Blunt, the impressive supporting cast features Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu and Winston Duke.

@Equivocal - I think the trailer made the movie look shit and it's nothing like the TV show.

@marvel72 -

to me;
just to see the 'gosling' name in the main credits and/or posters

it's an automatic pass, I don't get the appeal for this guy

same goes for Cena, walhberg, the rock, vince vaughn, sandler, etc

I know it will be a waste of time

While I'm a little bummed the studio isn't giving it a wider release window to bring in more revenue, I can't complain watching it at home sooner. A really great flick!

It wasn't a great movie. It was a goofy fun movie.

Sad that this film didn't do big numbers. It was a fun throwback to the really good 90's era action films.

@AlexGSpeaks - the moviegoers nowadays are mcu normies that need a sequel or 10 movie arc to justify it's existence. The curve will bounce back eventually

@bobevanz - why blame the MCU if the MCU has been getting diminishing returns. Barbie, Mario, nor oppie were what you just said. Yall just have to admit there’s a problem with the theaters and getting people in the seats

Lots of talking in this flick. And not witty banter talking, just kind of rehashing their situation talking. I couldn’t even figure out why these two stopped communicating after the “incident” - it was just a plot device that was never really explained where it made any sense.

But he’s undeniably charming and Emily Blunt is having her moment right now, so there’s that.

And sexy bacon.

A movie with a good audience score and critical reception not doing well is troubling in my opinion. There’s really a box office problem that I feel no one is acknowledging

This movie was already too long, and not in a good way.

20 more minutes?! Do y'all WANT people to lambast this movie??

I JUST saw this movie last week in theaters, smh. Since more movies are coming to digital early, I will be more selective of what I see in theaters....

I gotta admit I kept confusing this movie with Free Guy. It doesn't help that both movies are starring a Canadian Ryan.

Agree with the comment above, it was a goofy fun movie, nothing else. All actors were very good in it, seemed to have fun with their roles. I kind of saw it as trying the "behind the making of a movie" parody story but instead of an action flick like Tropic Thunder, which did it better IMO, this one had a love story. 6/10.
